Incubus, Hoobastank and Breaking Benjamin are among the artists who are set to appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming Xbox video game "Halo 2" and the outing will arrive in North American stores through Sumthing Else Music Works on November 9th - the same day that "Halo 2" is released. A full track listing to the soundtrack is expected to be revealed shortly. The best part about this is that I submitted the news of this to HBO a few weeks ago, but they didn't post it. So when the news finally broke, HBO posted the news and gave me credit here. I feel so God damn popular now.
"|-|aLo tHrE3 wIlL bE teH bEsT gAMe eva!1!!11!one" I can see it now. [/b][/quote] You know it going to come...sooner or later.
hehehe, nice Can't to get Halo 2 going but San An is going to occupy my mind for a year after it is released so maybe when Halo 2 is platinum or whatever microsoft call it
It'll be interesting to see how these songs (if) are going to be incorporated into the game, probably just ending credits. I can't wait till it's release, Live here i come.
The only possible way that I can see these songs being used properly in the game is if Sgt. Johnson is driving a Warthog and is playing them. He's a fan of "flip music," which, in the "Halo" universe, is a derivitive of metal. They won't be anywhere in the game unless, as I said, Sgt. Johnson is listening to it. Also, the soundtrack will be sold separately from the game. My best guess is that they'll be "songs inspired by 'Halo 2,'" much like with the game "PSI Ops" in which Cold wrote a song called "With My Mind" based on the game (I believe). It'll end up being something like that, but a total soundtrack. @LinkinJunior I have absolutely no idea why they're doing this, but it's probably just another Microsoft ploy to make more money. Oh well.
I really doubt it. Unless, like I said, it's a Sgt. Johnson thing and he's playing them in a Warthog or something. (Think of the flashback in "Halo" where the Master Chief watches Pvt. Jenkins's recording and Sgt. Johnson is playing the rock music. It could end up being something like that.)
Do we know if these songs will be new material, or just a few songs off of the bands albums. Since I would to like to hear some new material by Incubus.
