At last night's stop in Holmdel, New Jersey, Projekt Revolution concertgoers were shocked by a surprise appearance from rap mogul Jay-Z, as he joined Linkin Park on stage while the tour rolled through his home state.

With Jay-Z on stage, the band played their own "Lying From You"/"Dirt Off Your Shoulder" and "Papercut"/"Big Pimpin" medleys. Fans were absolutely floored by his sudden appearance and performance.

Check out pictures of the night here.

    Whoa, awesome.

Was this already arranged as a suprise or did Jay-Z just walk in there and ask if he could do a performance?

That must have been very cool. If only I was there.

Too bad I can't view the photos on that site. You have to pay money to become a member. GOD!

Does anyone know if there are any other sites that have the photos?

Since you have to pay for the big versions, another site giving them away for free would be illegal right?

In my opinion this is the kind of thing Linkin Park have to do on Projekt Revolution, something different from all of their other shows, and getting Jay-Z to perform is definately different. Good move by LP in my opinion.

Wow, looks like Linkin Park are liked by the true rap scene [J-z] So they have good street credit. If Mike ever does a solo album, I am sure he could find some rap stars like J-Z to guest, plus the ones from Reanimation.

Being liked and/or respected by the rap scene isn't that big of an accomplishment. They need to focus on the rock side of things if they want to go anywhere with their career.

    That's my opinion..

Linkin Park is not just "rock"... They're a "hybrid", and if they focused on one type of music they would go against what established them in the first place.

This Jay-Z thing is something great.

    Thats my opinion.

The only thing I'd dislike about being at that show is having an LP oldie/favorite of mines being ruined about a song that has to deal with pimps and everything. Especially if it was my first show.

    That's just my opinion, though.
