Have you heard Pinkerton or Blue? If you have, then that fine, but if your opinion is based on Beverly Hills and Island In The Sun, then those albums may change your mind. Anyway, whatever I dont like to judge other peoples music taste:lol:.

A friend of mine's got all Weezer's albums and we had to listen to them all the time when we used to hang out every day right after we graduated high school. I don't like how generic and boring they sound. And personally, I think every song sounds the same. Plus I hate his voice.

Just 5? That's sad haha. My list changes weekly, but these ones are generally who I like most.

    Gob
    Crowned King
    A Change Of Pace

    The Audition

But Jimmy Eat World are probably my all time favourite.

Generic? Maybe the later albums, but Blue Album and Pinkerton?! No way!

Try listening to Holiday and Surfwax America. Sorry if I seem pushy, I just want to spread the Weezer joy .

I've never seen Weezer as a real innovative band. Blue Album and Pinkerton, are, I guess, good for there emotional value sort of thing. Good indie-emo albums.

They definitely weren't the first band to play indie-emo. Cap 'n Jazz started in 1989.

    Sounding unique =/= sounding generic.

Their songs don't all sound the same either. Buddy Holly doesn't sound like Heart Songs, Island In The Sun doesn't sound like The Good Life, Fall Together doesn't sound like Surf Wax America, and so on. And there bands out there which are much more generic than Weezer, honestly. If you don't actually like them then fine but I think that's fairly objective.

I think a definition of generic is needed.

and LOL at 'Sounding unique =/= sounding generic', but I'm fairly sure you mean 'NOT Sounding unique =/= sounding generic'

But to be honest I've never really had a REAL good listen to Weezer. What confuses me about your post, is which parts are aimed at me and which parts are aimed at Will. I assume it was just the first line that was aimed at me so I'll stop there
