Oh yeah, right after numb Mike started playing the piano and played that before going into What I've Done. There was no numb/encore lyric tease outro.
Seriously? Every year. EVERY. FUCKING. YEAR. "Almost acoustic" = Not acoustic. It's not that hard to understand. This festival's only been going on for what, 20 years now? Maybe more? Brad throws his guitars around all the time, regardless of whether or not he's mad at the sound. Guy just doesn't give a crap about his instruments.
They're not dropping One Step Closer, lol. Why are people trying to make predictions for the future based on a setlist that's 8-10 songs shorter than what they typically play?
Did you sign in just to post a video of something going awry at a Linkin Park concert? Oh and Way better than at the VGA's from what I can actually make out, IMO.
face it, brad was pissed, he was probably still mad about he messed up castle of glass' electronics at the VGA's also
^^ No I was just looking on YouTube to see if anyone had a good video of some of the songs they performed and found that I thought it would be nice as a first post lol.
^^ Here's 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman': http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wnn8i8oNSuQ REVISED SETLIST: LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro) Faint (Ext. Outro) Papercut Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) New Divide LIES GREED MISERY Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' rap; Ext. Outro) Breaking The Habit CASTLE OF GLASS Numb (Piano Transition Outro w/ 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman) What I've Done BURN IT DOWN In The End Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge; Ext. Outro) Show Notes: - Mike rapped a verse from 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'. - Mike and Chester did not sing their parts of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'. Instead, Mike played a short rendition of 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman' that transitioned into 'What I've Done'. - 'Bleed It Out' did not feature any song over the bridge. Mike went into the crowd encouraging the crowd to sing with Chester. 'Sabotage' was originally planned to be played but was dropped last minute. Other Notes: - Sixth time playing at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas. Debuts: - First time 'LOST IN THE ECHO' opened a show.
The difference being that Chester hasn't sucked at singing One Step Closer live for the last 5 years. I never said he wasn't pissed...? But it's a pretty well-established fact that Brad throws/drops his instruments all the time. He broke the neck off his original red soldier PRS at the Jimmy Kimmel show earlier this year. He broke the neck off one of his Rory Gallagher Strats in Russia a couple weeks before that. He broke the neck off his original grey soldier PRS 3 shows after he originally got it back in 2003. He has like half a dozen guitars that have had their necks glued back on, some on multiple occasions (and that's NOT including all the guitars he and Chester intentionally smashed after A Place for My Head in 2003-2004).
i don't really pay attention to his guitar breakings to be honest, but i knew about the a place for my head breakings. what i was saying was, the fact he broke his guitar (with most probably anger) was supporting he was pissed off and i strongly disagree, chester hasn't sucked at singing crawling. crawling live at athens 2009 is one of my favourite live songs. if they stop playing all their hybird theory stuff it's just another excuse fr the haters to say 'ZOMG LP HAVE CHANGED'
Lol at people believing that OSC will be dropped on a permanent basis. I don't see the band kicking out of their set the song that gets the biggest crowd reaction at each show (along with ITE and Numb). Even if the song has been played for years.
I know Brad has thrown a lot of his instruments in the past , but as i said earlier, I also saw him yelling at his guitar tech, the sound in the beginning was not that loud, i know cuz i was there. Anyways, i can't wait for it to broadcast tomorrow, Mike crowd surfing and running around the amphitheater was the greatest thing ever.
