Just got back from the show, QWERTY was unexpected, and they played a soft piano version of leave out all the rest. Good stuff. Mute Math was fucking awesome
I wonder why they removed IMR from this setlist. I don't think we'll ever see Skin to Bone and Until it breaks live. Roads Untraveled has a chance. It's like the "The Little Things give you away" of the album. Powerless and Castle of glass should come soon. They probably could have removed Given up and put I'll be Gone. Its weird. The band should be supporting the songs of the album more.
I was thinking the same exact thing, play more of the new songs, and stick with them every setlist, that way they can actually practice them more. I don't understand why they would want to play less of the new stuff and play more of the same stuff they've been playing for over a decade
Mike's clearly not comfortable with his singing while on stage. How many times have you heard In Between, Robot Boy, or No Roads Left live? I assume the same things will come of Castle of Glass, Roads Untraveled, and Skin to Bone. I really don't think they'll play them because Mike doesn't want to sing live, even though he HAS many times. In My Remains, Iridescent, and all the backup harmonies he does. I don't understand why they're not playing more new songs. The setlist is decent, but to neglect so many amazing new songs is a shame.
I don't get it. I love LP, but why are they not promoting the new album, I mean - full of the album? They played 5 HT, 5 MTM, 4 Meteora, 4 LT, 3 ATS and 2 other songs... why they can't just make ONE concert with all of the LT songs and 2-3 from the other albums... something like: ALL LT songs + OSC, Papercut, ITE, Numb, Faint, BIO, WID, WFTE, Blackout, The Catalyst and Qwerty?... Don't get me wrong - I like their concerts no matter which songs the play, but WE need to hear all LT songs...
Mike isn't a good singer live that's why. Also this changing setlist all the time must confuse the guys sometimes.
Actually, In between and No Roads left was performed just once or twice. Robot Boy was not even performed once. Skin to Bone maybe never be played. Castle of Glass however, will be played. I mean, they will be promoting that song for the Medal Of Honour game, so I'm sure they will play Castle of Glass a lot. Roads Untraveled could be played now and then like how "The Little Things give you away" was during the MTM era. I don't think Mike has any problems singing live. He should have gotten used to it since ATS world Tour where Burning in the skies, Iridescent, The catalyst were all played. Could be that they want to practice more and perfect it.
No disrespect to mike cause I love the dude as a music artist But he can't sing for nothing he's not very good at it He needs to stick with rapping and playing piano and some guitar But I do feel over the years his rapping has become weak its like He's holding back, on LT its better but I still feel he can really go off
Oh look! That was surprising! Said no one ever. The 5 other members of the band and Rick Rubin disagree with you. If Mike sucked at singing, they wouldn't let him sing. Just saying.
No, he doesn't. This guy (LPHybrid Soldier) acts like he was the master of the truth and he talks like he was a spokesman for all the fans. One thing that he obviously doesn't is. Moreover, it is amazing the number of assumptions and mistakes that he speaks.
I'm sure all the LIVING THINGS tracks will be performed at one point or another, like Minutes to Midnight. It's not as if these songs are ATS tracks, with their hundreds of layers underneath them.
I'm glad LGM and Points are back, but dropping IMR, Empty Spaces and WTCFM is just sad. There's only 2 reasons behind this: 1. They're sharing a tour with Incubus, which is why they've opted for shorter setlists. 2. I guess it's that point in their career where you have so much songs in their catalog that they can't fit them all in shows. It explains why they've been rotating songs, and why lots of LT songs are not played yet. And I'm still hoping they can play BITS in at least one show.
