Linkin Park will continue their A Thousand Suns World Tour by beginning the Asia leg in Hong Kong where Linkin Park will play the AsiaWorld-Expo Arena in the first of 11 dates across the continent. This will be the third time Linkin Park have played Hong Kong, following performances from June 17th, 2004 and November 20th, 2007.

In their August 30th Las Vegas, NV tour date the band introduced a slightly different set list titled B_Las Vegas which saw the band opening with a remixed version of Cure For The Itch (an opener that hadn't been used since 2008), with the August 31st Los Angeles, CA Secret Show using the same set list, except with "The Messenger" in place of "When They Come For Me".

With "Robot Boy" still having yet to be performed in a live setting, many fans have speculated that this will finally be the tour that premieres that song to a live audience, while others have speculated that the band may play A Thousand Suns front to back for the Tokyo date as a special treat for the Earthquake victims, and to tie-in with their A Thousand Horizons charity event. At this time it is hard to tell if any of this speculation will wind up being true, but it will be interesting to see what Linkin Park has up their sleeves for these dates, as some fans may remember that it was a 2006 stop in Chiba, Japan for Summer Sonic that brought fans "Reading My Eyes" and a live performance of "Qwerty" both of which were featured on the LPU 6.0 CD.

It's impossible to know what Linkin Park have planned for the Asia shows, but it's always fun to speculate! Let us know what you would like to see and what you think the Asian fans have in store by commenting on our forums!

Also, if you're attending the show in Hong Kong we'd love to see your videos, photographs or reviews of the show, comment on our forums or alternatively contact us on Twitter at @LPAssociation!

Watch LP go totally old school, and play Hybrid Theory front to back, complete with Mike's red hair, and Chester's thick rimmed glasses/lip ring and spikes. :kappa:

I for one, would love for LP to perform ATS from start to end. I also think that performing it during the Tokyo date would be perfect. One last thing, I really hope that they play Robot Boy during this tour; one of my favourite tracks.

Really hope they do ATS in full.

Or at the very least, play half of it on one set and the other half on another.

I posted this in a different thread a long time ago. This to me would be a perfect setlist:

    01: The Requiem
    02: The Radiance
    03: Papercut
    04: Lying From You
    05: Given Up (Extended outro)
06: What I've Done (Extended outro)
    07: Burning in the Skies
    08: Empty Spaces
09: When They Come For Me
    10: Robot Boy
    11: Jornada Del Muerto
    12: Waiting For The End
    13: Numb
14: Breaking The Habit (Extended outro)
    15: Fallout
    16: The Catalyst
    17: The Messenger
18: One Step Closer (Extended outro)
    19: Faint (Extended outro)
    -----
    Encore:
    20: Blackout
    21: Wretches and Kings
    22. Wisdom, Justice, and Love
    23. Iridescent
    24. In The End
    25: New Divide
26: Bleed It Out (Reading My Eyes, A Place For My Head & Drum Solo)

They would play ATS in full without some people in the crowd noticing it. And there would still be plenty of old hits.

The entire point of my wanting them to play ATS in full is how the songs flow together. To get that type of experience in a live atmosphere would be amazing. To just simply interject random ATS songs in the set out of order or to have any break between them would not justify the album and imo would not be an acceptable thing to do...

    haha

I don't know what those things are...And I agree ECM. Except they have to play all of their DBS and FM songs too. Don't forget playing Breaking the Habit 10 billion times :kappa:
