^ They started this with the HBP trailers. This is more of a continuation of that. Sounds so grand and almost militant.
I stopped caring about the movies roughly when the first shots of Lupin came out and I was uberly disappointed. I might be catching up by watching all the movies in a few days, though.
The films don't do the books any justice. Plus if you jump into a later Harry Potter film without having read the books then you will have no idea about what's going.
They don't, but for super mainstream blockbuster films, I think they've done a pretty decent job so far. Even taken some risks by switching up the directors. I can appreciate that. However, I'm pretty sure this will cover the book pretty well, since it's broken in two parts. That's the wet dream for any HP fan hah.
Oh I know. I'm a hardcore book nerd. That's why I gave up after PoA. But this movie looks epic so... yeah.
The films have got better and better. I couldn't give a toss if they aren't faithful down to every last detail of the books because it's a good series in its own right.
Dayum. I've been reading 'ole HP since I was 10. The first two were well done, imo. Then PoA came.. and I was just like.. WTF.. but also secretly fangirled over Gary Oldman as Sirius. After PoA I gave up on Harry Potter movies ever being good.. GoF was terrible. Order of the Phoenix - still meh. HBP - Tom Felton was great. Draco and Snape were the stars of this one. (You'd never believe it if you had never talked to him, but Tom is a very talkative guy. I met him at Dragon*Con last year. He's so long winded, lol.) I still feel like they could have done Dumby's death more justice.. it seemed so.. anti-climactic. However, I couldn't help but go nuts when I watched this trailer. Even if it isn't good.. I'll still watch it. Because I'll always love HP. /myopinionandnerdrant
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, Deathly Hallows is my fave book out of the series. I'm not a huge fan of the films though, however I do like the fact that this film is in two parts. Hopefully it will do the book justice. The trailers look amazing
