Is It Worth It To Get The Album Through iTunes? Who Else Got iTunes Deluxe Version?

I'm curious. I'm debating whether to spend the money right now and get the digital copy, or just wait until tomorrow morning and buy it at Target at 8:00 AM (I would buy it at Best Buy, but those queers don't open until 10:00 AM (When I'm already in class).

Target has the Deluxe edition CD/DVD combo for $16, but I kind of want Blackbirds in HQ. Help me make this decision, fellow Linkin Parkers!

 

Well, IMO it's better to buy it at target cause you would have the ability to rip the songs HQ to your pc which is much higher quality than I-Tunes... so if you don't care about quality (I tunes is 320kbs i think) or a physical package go with itunes or you could buy bc i think itunes has visualizers and that would be cool. but i myself would go for the target version..

 

iTunes is 256 AAC which is still better quality than 320 MP3

 

Are you forgetting you can rip a cd to FLAC? Flac kills itunes. Sorry man.

 

FLAC takes up too much of my hard-drive, and isn't compatible with my iPod or iTunes, which makes it obsolete on my PC.

 

The thing is, I was replying to LPChris, he wanted to know. So I told him which way he could get the best quality.

 

What is this FLAC which you speak off?

Oh I totally want a hard copy of the CD. Just wasnt sure if I want an awesome LP one, or one on a crapy Memorex CD-R

 

Flac is like pretty much the same exact quality as the actual cd, you can listen to them on your computer, you can also rip to HQ ACC or mp3 for your mp3 player. I dunno what kind you have, i dunno if android supports flac either.. I hope so, I plan to get one some day. xD

No. You can't get flac on itunes, you have to have the physical CD to rip it to FLAC. xD

 

No I mean can you rip in FLAC format using iTunes, or is that a separate program?

 

I actually have no idea. I don't use Itunes. I use Amarok.

 

You can rip the CD into Apple Lossless, which is the same quality as FLAC. But I really don't see the point in wasting the space. Thats just my thoughts on it.

 

How much do you want Blackbirds in HQ?
Will you want to be able to play the album on a CD player, or in your car?

You have to think about those things.

EDIT: You can buy Blackbirds separately from the iTunes album, and then buy the CD. That way you get the HQ version and also get the album for CD players and such.

 

I thought Blackbirds was ATS Deluxe only?

The only track on ATS you can't buy seperately (which is absolutely stupid) is Wisdom, Justice, and Love.

 

I also bought the album off of iTunes. It's worth the money IMO because the digital experience is, in some ways, more complete. The iTunesLP features are a lot of fun, and the AAC is significantly better transcoded than Linkin Park's edition (the difference is VERY stark.) Also, blackbirds high def, it's worth it.

 

I'm probably going to get it for the visualizers alone. Maybe.

I was at my local Target at 8:00 AM this morning and picked up my copy on my way to school.

And I just purchased Blackbirds separately. I'm sooooo glad I was able to purchase separately!
