According to LinkinPark.com, the tour dates posted on this web site for the upcoming tour with P.O.D., Hoobastank, and Story of the Year are incorrect. Although supplied to a member of P.O.D.’s official forums by a representative of Atlantic Records (P.O.D.’s record label), these confirmed tour dates are supposedly not the dates that the four bands will be playing on starting in January. We will not remove the dates from this web site at this time, simply because some of them may turn out to be correct. We will only remove the incorrect dates, and post the new ones. If they are all wrong, then we will just replace them all.

Yeah we'll just have to wait and see. The only explanation is maybe the venues the bands picked ended up not working out and the P.O.D representative had slightly outdated dates and venues. I don't know, Will is really good at figuring this stuff out, so if you got a better explanation, go ahead Will.

hmm...I hope they aren't the right dates! Maybe there is still a chance for them to come to Philly. I hope, I hope. :)

Well the original dates DID suggest they were coming to the Electric Factory. It's only a matter of time now to see if they are actually still coming to Philadelphia. I don't see why not though, Philly's a large area to play in.

OK, so basically... There are several reasons why I feel the dates we have posted are correct:

    1. The man who supplied the user on the P.O.D. forums with the dates is a PR Representative of Atlantic Records. When he received the e-mail asking for dates, he replied that he was very, very busy and would try to get the dates to the user as soon as he could. He had a meeting the next day that ended up being cancelled, so he was able to e-mail the dates to the user. My guess is that the meeting was only a few hours long. However, in order to fabricate dates, you'd have to have a pretty good knowledge of the cities and the venues in those cities. Then you'd have to take the time to research each venue to make sure no other bands are playing on the day that you picked out to fabricate. In my opinion, this would take way too much time for a PR Rep to do, so I really doubt that the dates were fabricated.

    2. Another reason I feel they are real is because he wouldn't have given them to the user unless the dates were confirmed. In the e-mail asking for the dates, the person stated that the fans wanted to know the dates so they would know if they would have to start saving up to buy tickets, that way they would be ready. Unless you have a cold heart, I really doubt you'd go and crush a person by faking dates like that. It'd be really heartless to do something like that, especially when the request for the dates was completely honest. If the dates weren't confirmed and he gave them out, then there's a high chance that he could get fired from his post as PR Rep.

    3. The third reason is probably the most important reason as to why I feel that these dates are correct. For one, he knew the situation and the reason why the dates were requested. I really doubt this man would've taken the time to fabricate the dates, knowing that they weren't true, because the person could easily hand out his e-mail address, allowing the possibility of the rep being bombarded with hate mail. I really doubt the person would want that to happen, and I really doubt he'd fabricate the dates and take the chance of that happening--even if he can change his e-mail address.

    So, there you have it.

When you have a chance, check if they are. If they are, there's something extremely fishy here.

I just checked the site, they've been taken down. I know the tour started and ended on the same dates and places on both our site and thePRP. Maybe they took the dates off of our site and took them down for some reason?

It's clear what happened then. If PRP had the same dates and they are down, and LP.com says the dates that are floating around the net are incorrect, it's clear the PR must have gotten the wrong dates from his source somehow.

Sh*t happens in the world of music, lets just hope the 100% correct dates will surface soon so that we can continue to give you the best tour news before anywhere else. We suggest you don't follow the advice to "disregard any other tour news" because I can assure you that as long as LPA is around we will continue to provide you with the news before any where else.

We the LPA, were the first to confirm this tour, so you can't say we always mess up ;). Launch had it two days after we did and called it "Exclusive" which it hardly was.

My theory is that P.O.D picked those venues and dates and one of the other bands (LP, Hooba or SotY) had to change around a few dates.

Those dates didn't even include St. Louis which I find extremley odd since SoTY is from StL and has tons of fans here.

Yeah, I agree with that. Also, their isn't one date in New England date so I found that odd. If they don't end up playing anywhere near Boston I hope they keep one the NY dates the same.

Nah, i don't think those who organise the tour care about SoTY. It's what P.O.D. and LP say here.

    You're so ignorant.

Linkin Park hit Mudvayne's hometown on last spring's Projekt Revolution, so why wouldn't they hit Story of the Year or Hoobastank's hometown? They obviously couldn't hit blindside's hometown, because that's in Sweden.

This is LP your talking about, they are about the fans and i feel that if they had oppourtunity then they would go to Story of the Year's hometown, unless there is a reason as to y they wouldn't i don't think they would try to not go there.

    About the mistakes:
On the web site you guys have the info for a date in Pittsburg, PA. But if you look at the right side of the screen at the venue you will see that it says the venue is the Electric Factory, which is in Philadelphia. I don't know about other cities, i checked Philly cuz i live right outside of it but possibly you just have some little mistakes like this one.

Those who organize the tour, typically record companies or other big companies, care about which cities will bring in the most cash, such as the amount of fans and bigger venues (bigger venues=more ticket sales=more cash). And since SoTY has tons of fans in St. Louis (LP does too) and some decent sized venues, it wouldn't make sense for them to not come to St. Louis
