I was and it was GREAT ;D just the crowd sucked. was that Hamburg show were Chester was pissed off in the end, but during the show all of them were SO good. the guitars were great.
yeah i heard the KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas show they did, and i really think Ryan Shuck needs to not sing along with Chester if DBS does anymore shows in the future
All I have to say is that had I actually paid money to see Linkin Park when DBS was doing their little 3 song set in between the LP set, I would have been pissed off. Does anyone else here actually think that was kind of a bad idea?
Haha! It's really sad to say this, but I doubt anyone would really like DBS if Chester wasn't the "singer from Linkin Park." I had high hopes years back when I heard Chester was doing a solo record, I thought it'd be stripped down and have a rock vibe, like the old performances of Morning After way back when. I didn't like the direction he ended up taking but anywho. Plus, everything about the music is just bland. But I have never liked Julien-K or Orgy anyway.
I don't agree with you. And I like Julien-K a lot. Everyone says they're just successfull because of Chester and Chester is definitely one awesome artist but J-K make great music, too - just a different style. So I don't wonder that many LP Fans don't like them. But possibly many J-K Fans don't like LP?
i really just thought that Ryan just flat out sucked live when it came to the singing. he was totally out of key, and it took away from the show
I cant agree with you.. I saw them live in Cologne and it was pretty amazing. Chester seemed to have a lot of fun with the music. Ryans backing vocals arent that bad... but yes, he could improve. I really think that Out of Ashes was a great album. I mean, songs like Crawl back in or My Suffering are what we all wanna hear from chester, dont we? Apart from that I thought that the lyrics were very heartfelt, not that innovative, but authentic. And, hands down, the guitar-work is way better than what you can find on a Linkin Park-album. The drummer is amazing as well.
I liked JK live when I saw them on PR but their album was boring. Like nothing kept my attention at all. Which is why the music in DBS seems the same
for me DBS's album is like a LP b-sides collection. The songs are really good, but not as good and original as LP's. It did hold me waiting for LP's new album though
I saw them live at the London HMV show, they were great live. Chester had so much energy and the crowd were loving it. It was a small and intimate show and I was right at the front so I enjoyed it. I fully agree that most people only heard of Dead by Sunrise because of Chester. Many people were wearing LP tshirts/hoodies at the DBS show and at one point, before the band came onstage, people were cheering for Mike LMAO!
i saw them live last year at the epicenter 09 (I think thats what it was called) they were alright chester sounded good but i just wanted more lp...
