It's not casual if they picked a simpler album cover compared to what's inside...
and what's inside is SICK at the SICKEST.
The third is so creative, the first amazing since the first time i've seen and made me realize the potential of the whole art concept behind this project, and the second is my favorite yet. Really brilliant and sinister, makes you chill if you watch concentrated this art and let you even feel uncomfortable.. in a good way :p

These images are interesting. Haha but they don't really relate to the current promo art. There still pretty cool though.

As others have said, I'm amazed the cover art is so horrible but all the other art is so great. No clue why they picked that cover.

I do actually think that one of these for the album cover would be fucking sweet.

They're all pretty garish, never mind how the second two don't seem to have anything to do with the album appears to be about. If they were more cartoony looking they could perhaps work for Avenged Sevenfold or some other such band, but I think that's probably it as far as them being cover art is concerned. If they want to sell the idea that they've grown up I don't think any of these would have been a better choice than the one they did choose.

How does the art have anything to do with the band's maturity? It's art and there's nothing immature about the art in question.

What doesn't it have to do with that? There'll be plenty of people for whom the cover art will at least contribute to their first impressions of the album, so it stands to reason that it should be able to do a good job of conveying the content of the album and the aspirations of the band.

I think I get what you are saying. The album cover is pretty wtf and you wouldn't know what kind of music to expect (well, maybe electronica), but when I look at the other works I think of hardcore metal or some political rock or whatever...which it isn't

Well, if the art is indeed for the album, then why would the band include it if it didn't convey the content of the album as well as their aspirations? You're not answering the question, either, you're bringing up another issue entirely. How does the art itself represent the band's maturity? That's an implication that the art is for some reason immature, which it isn't. Whether or not we feel the art is best used as the cover art is another matter entirely.

I was clearly referring to the cover art in particular there.

No, you're either misinterpreting or ignoring what I've posted previously. I've already explained pretty well that it's probably a good idea for the cover art to be as representative of the album as possible.

So you keep telling me. If it comes down to a difference of opinion just say so.

    If you insist.
