iTunes The Catalyst Preview

Monotonous means it all sounds the same, which it does. They just add another instrument every 8 bars or so, but the basics are the same until the piano break at the end. This song has less sections than their old stuff. I'd prefer intro -> verse -> chorus -> verse -> chorus -> bridge -> chorus to what we've heard so far. What we've heard so far sounds like "God bless us everyone" -> "God bless us everyone" -> "God bless us everyone" -> "God bless us everyone" -> "God bless us everyone" -> Outro.


I'm well aware that I'm exaggerating, I'm just explaining what Marcus means by monotonous.

 

I'm very interesting in seeing how well this song does on the radio.

 

Completely agree. From what we've heard so far it's basically the "god save us everyone" part repeated over and over with different lyrics, plus the chester part, plus the lift me up part... where's the verse??

i knew the album version will kick ass and here it is ... the sound quality makes the song Chester wins it !

 

Also here in Belgium, 21 minutes till 2nd august but we'll hear it tomorrow..
I like the snippets but I hope it's not gonna be like in the MoH-trailer.

i love how some guys come up with conclusions like that without listening the whole song.they just make me laugh.

guys, this is a totalyy different breakdonw than the one that was on the kroq clip, so theres gonna be somepart of the song that they have being hiding that willl blow us away

Grudge you must understand you're in their turf. This is home to a lot of blind fans who'll buy poop from the band if that's the direction they decide to take.

However, you'll find that anywhere but LP forums people are giving honest opinions and sharing the same thoughts as you and me. So don't worry too much about debating with people here. Just voice your opinion and ignore the responses.

Even LP is aware that most people do not like their new stuff but for some reason their small faithful are in denial and think most people love the new LP. I mean you just got to laugh when people say things like MTM surpassed Meteora...

Professional reviews, not ones made by fans here, do show that they're new material is inferior and more generic compared to their older stuff. Non biased public will tell you the new LP sucks [which I don't necessarily agree with entirely but I can understand where they're coming from] and MTM was the first time their own fans were split about the opinion on their album. It was the first time in years where I saw negative comments made on their own forums from their own fans.

I used to be able to defend LP and their work, but I mean how could I now? When they have plenty of reasons to bash LP.
