False Catalyst Premier

    This is slightly unusual for the LPA but for once we are posting to confirm a WRONG / FAKE story making the rounds. People keep asking me about a radio station tweet confirming The Catalyst premier by themixshow.com, but it was WRONG.

    It's been confirmed as FAKE by the LPA a few hours ago. If you scroll to the side of their website, and click on 7 - 28 Rockin' With The Game Killers under Recently Aired Mixes, and skip to 19:20, they already played it last night. However it was a remix using the stems from the Featuring You Contest. Sorry to get your hopes up folks.

    Thank AkirraKrylon of the LPA for that one.

    It was pretty upsetting to find that they were NOT going to play the song =/

    on the other hand, the remix they did was pretty decent lol was something cool to listen to for a few min. They make some comments on the song afterwards by the way..

    I feel it's pretty safe to say folks that we aren't getting this song until Linkin Park decides we're going to get it. Too many radio stations have been going "OMG WE HAVE THE SONG AND ITS GONNA PLAY TONIGHT!" and it turns out they're either lying (X96's case) or they played a remix (this news post).

    Just be patient guys. We waited 3 years for new LP...we can wait another 4 days till it's available on iTunes.

    Edit: Fail at how they're reviewing the song.

    On a side note, I just pre ordered the Deluxe Set ^^

    Haha from the way they are talking after the ~2min of the catalyst plays, with a DIFFERENT piano behind it, you might be right. the guy is like "its different, VERY different, but its good im diggin' the piano"

    Sadly enough, they found a way to get viewership for their horrible pathetic show.....NOT ANYMORE haha.....(Just a couple more days)

    With the way technology works today, I'll venture a guess and say NO radio station has the full version of "The Catalyst" and won't until the band provides an email/download link containing the whole song on Aug 2.

    lol, they *actually* believe it's real. haha. :) Silly people. Yes I agree, 4 more days and they'll fly. Looking at the album countdown, it's already in the 40's and when the countdown was set up, it was 68 DAYS! Time is flying!

    Haha not a radio station, but maaaybe. :p Then again Joe directed the video so EA might have just provided te gameplay footage.

    True, but since Joe is directing it, it's probably only a small team of people who have access to it as it would only be needed in editing.

    Yeah What Shinoda Said, remember the Deal (from LinkinPark.com) was that if you preorder the album from the site, you get singles a few weeks/days earlier before the actual release... we can all live in hope (Freequently checking my Inbox ;) )

    He didn't say we will get them earlier, just that we could get them earlier.
