What I'm really wondering is if mike thinks that a lot of these remixes are actually better than the full song. Thought about asking him that on his blog but I guess it seemed rude. It's like saying "So, your fans can write your own song better than you can" and I really LIKE what I hear of it.. I guess I have a strange thinking process. Hope the song is 4 + minutes
My worry too . I hope I don't hear the real thing and wish it sounded more like Alex's version or something!
It will be. Two of the samples we have are now labelled outro Drums and Outro piano. Both of those sample are more than a minute. If the outro is that long, than the full song must be lengthy.
Lot of great remixes here, but this is hands down the best one I've heard so far...
Yeah someone on YouTube asked, he replied: "Depends on indabamusic, the song is done for some hours but their upload system is not working correctly . I'm waiting for them to fix the issue. A new video will be uploaded as soon as the song is up ."
First attempt. Still needs some work though. Edit: After listening to it a few times I already know a crap-load of changes I want to make. Hopefully PT stops crapping out on me this time.
Finally uploaded it to Indaba! Vote for me if you like the WOBBLE!!! And thanks so much for the feedback everyone! LINKIN PARK- THE CATALYST (RATHER RED DUBSTEP MIX) (INDABA VOTE LINK)
My Remix: The Catalyst (Recombinence DnB Remix) Hey everyone, my artist/producer name is Recombinence. You can find my remix at: http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/22837 I wanted to step away from the initial tempo and make it faster. Therefore I made this a dnb influenced track with a dubstep influenced break. I wanted this track to be dynamic in its progression and as a result I had a lot of fun making this and hope some one on here enjoys my version of this new LP song! Thanks for listening and thanks to LPA for spotlighting members! (the drop isnt until 0:35 so please bare with me till then!) note: all different vocal melodies/harmonies are simply autotuned versions of the original vocal stems. I did not add any new vocals to this remix.

http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/22140 What do you all think? I've worked on my own music for about 4 years now out of my small home studio but this is my first remix of anything. Gotta say, it was a lot of fun.

Alex McMillan's (GigaScythe) remix has got to be on that list. I love his, and really hope he wins it.
http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/23025 At last my remix is done ! It was pretty fun to make. It is a three-part remix : Rock / Electro / Acoustic. I used a lot of weird instruments, like toy xylophone, psaltery, or pan flute (that last one didn't make it in the final cut though). I wanted to start the remix by something catchy, and the first part of it is a pure old school Linkin Park riff, followed in the second part by some electronic Reanimation style beats. Hope you’ll enjoy it, if you do please vote for me ! Clément Elbaz, from France Mastermind of Thunder of Angels (http://thunderofangels.com)
I've really not got a lot of places to go in terms of promotion, so i hope LPA don't mind this post, if you do then it's fine i will delete it! Please take a listen and vote at http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/22542 and I've been listening to most of the remixes being submitted. it's really cool how diverse they all are and how every single genre is being explored. Id like to wish everyone good luck again, the contest really is on fire!
