Yes, but I think it's a lot better when you have something to think about, as well as something that can keep you interested and wondering about the album at the same time.

 

Wow, the industrial sounds plus Linkin Park's very own style...this is going to be amazing...maybe even "genre-busting"...

BTW, Mike WILL post when we can start pre-ordering our Super Deluxe Three Disc etc editions of A Thousand Suns, yes? Because if they're already popping up on Amazon and such, I don't want to miss out...

Hell, the distorted black and white profile images are practically from the Don't Stop video. I'm gonna be very interested to see what IPS say about this. I don't know if LP are aware of this but someone has ripped off Stephen Penta hardcore.

The keyboard at the end is from the stem... so i kinda believe those intereferences sounds effects might be part of the ablum style... if so...

Actually I first thought of IPS when I heard the "stems" from The Catalyst.

And for the people saying they stole an idea, I admit while it kind of made be feel strange upon first listening it's grown on me a lot. I mean I liked it but it was really different. I came to the conclusion that Linkin Park aren't trying to copy Innerpartysystem because there are A LOT of cryptic things out there, the ring, paranormal activity, etc. Just because a band uses a idea that appears to look like something else doesn't mean it is the same. I think this video matches up with the messages we've gotten. IPS isn't the first to use glitches and shit in their video teasers, so I guess if you want to be totally technical, IPS copied others as well. But I still find IPS to be pretty original too. So I really don't see a problem here.

Uuu yeeahh! More than great! Some last effects could be from other songs and than a small hint off music from The Catalyst. Love it! Maybe it is the way how The Catalyst really starts.?
