Have been lurking for some time now and this is my first post here. And guys, C'mon these are just the stems we are hearing. If we had to hear "Somewhere I Belong" like this, it would have sounded much more awful. I mean, it's hard to see people posting like this. For me, what I've heard is perfect. Am sure that the original track is going to be a killer.

 

What I'm saying is there's no point arguing about the stems being or not being a part of the final track, people should focus on the remixes.

So far, I am with you on this. I have always been able to grow with Linkin Park. I've been able to to watch them progress and realize that nu-metal was was just a doorway through which they came. I've never picked apart a song of theirs. This one though, I can't quite put my finger on. Luckily, it's only a snippet. I do love the piano at the end. So, I'm hoping in the bigger picture of things that the whole song will impress me because I do love that piano. Like others, the whole insane dance/pop thing isn't working for me. However, if it's just for one song and it makes a point, I could get over it. I will wait until I hear the complete, studio production to make my conclusion.

I don't know what's up with you. You never seem to have anything positive to say around here and that's been irritating the staff for a long time now. Almost all of our members are positive, good people who can share post and share an opinion without the need to be insulting or needlessly sarcastic. it just reminds me of the beginning of a prodigy song. i was pretty surprised about the effects they put over mike's voice. honestly, that's not what i usually like, but i'll get used to it. it's new, it's different and it's pretty cool imo.
and seriously... i don't know about those people, that were hoping for a new hybrid theory... wtf? why should they go back? i don't want my fav band to make albums that sound all the same, just because that's the sound i fell in love with. as a fan you should be open for the band to change, develope and try something new...

In the start i didn't really like(Even through this is just a demo)
But now i kinda like it..
Its different, but people dont be scared. LP has already said that there is going to be some HT elements on the album, so there will diffently still be Guitar!
I hope the new album will sound like a mix of Breaking the Habit and The little thing give you a way, they are there most experimental songs in my opinion

i actually really like it, i think that we have to remember that these steams of a whole song. their are only like 4 - 5 tracks to this sample. to me it sounds very much like the bridge vocals to an entire song and random snippets. i believe the song to sound a lot different to this
