Soundspike recently conducted an interview with Carlos Santana where he discusses his upcoming album, tentatively titled "Guitar Heaven". During the Q&A Carlos mentions who he'll be working alongside for the forthcoming release, citing that Chester will be amongst the artists to feature:

"Tell me about your new studio album. It sounds like a pretty exciting project.

...The [guests] are Joe Cocker, India.Arie, Yo-Yo Ma, Scott Weiland, Rob Thomas, Pat Monahan, Chris Cornell, Jacoby Shaddix, Chester Bennington, Scott Stapp. All of my life, since I can remember, everything that I do is coming in with everyone. I don't come in alone. So this is not like a shtick or a gimmick or something that I do with guest artists. I've been doing this since '67 with everyone. It feels wonderful to walk into a room and you feel the love. With Joe Cocker or India.Arie or Rob Thomas, there's a mutual exchange of love, so by the time we get to the song, it's very natural, normal."

Sounds exciting! Check out Soundspike for the full Q&A.

I don't get the hate personally. Fair enough don't like his music, but he's a very different guy from who he was a few years back. He just comes across as a down to earth family man who likes making music. I just don't get it.

Am I the only one not looking forward to it being afraid that Chaz could make or break a very good guitarist such as Carlos Santana given the huge gap in music genres between the two men? But I'm looking forward to Joe Cocker, India Arie and Rob Thomas.

    Please don't bash me *flinches*

    (Prepares to bash!)
Nah you have a point but both Carlos and Chester are very versatile musicians and can make whatever they want and have it sound good. So I think this should be good
