    Damn I work in like 20 minutes I was hopin the news would of came already, because I won't be off until almost 11 pm :( Yeah don't forgot Monday is the bands "meeting" day, so maybe they have to completely agree on the finishing stuff.

    According to Phoenix' new twitter post, they are filming a video. Possibly for a new single or something else? I am here waiting to find out with the rest of you guys.

    Ok, from that German site, I got a couple of things:

    -Obviously, the manager (Jordan Berliant???) had a listening party where a lot of parties were invited, but had to follow some clause of secrecy (normal procedure, right?)
    -The album comes out September.
    -The guys are still in the studio?

    Maybe it wasn't a 100% finished version of the album.

    Yep. It's normal for bands to create an advance/unfinished version of a record to spark hype and give a preview of the album's direction. That's why sometimes advances have demos/songs that didn't make the final album cut.

    Totally normal. They probably have to wait until a certain date to publish any reviews of what they heard.

    I'd say yes with what Mike tweeted about him and Brad listening to Floyd and working on music. It's normal. I'll take Metallica's Death Magnetic as an example.
    Around early June (IIRC) 2008 they had a listening party in London and invited various music sites and mags along. They played 6 songs (of the final 10 that made the album). The songs weren't totally finished though, but were an early rough mix and were slightly different musically then what ended up on the album.

    So, listening parties in early June '08 and then released mid-September '08. That seems right on track with LP now.
