Although this news has no direct affiliation with Linkin Park, it is our sad duty to report that Slipknot Bassist Paul Gray, otherwise known as #2 or 'The Pig' during earlier years, was today found dead in a hotel in Urbandale, Des Moines, IA. He is survived by his wife Brenna who is expecting a child. You may remember that Slipknot shared the main stage with Linkin Park during the 2001 edition of the Ozzfest tour. That's the same thing I was thinking... two of my favorite musicians on earth too I'd be devastated if something happened to Chester in all honesty. He's my favorite vocalist of all time.

Rest in Peace Paul Gray... Crazy... he died right after Ronnie James Dio. And theres a church that will be protesting Dio's funeral. I swear on this... if ANYONE tries to protest Paul's funeral I will go beat some church goin' ass!

R.I.P. Paul. I didn't listen much of Slipknot yet, but some songs touched me a lot. I am shocked too by seeing how many artists are disappearing, seriously. Don't forget Chi, bassist of Deftones, who is coma since months. Even if through that the band made one of the best albums i've ever heared, it still isn't worthy the loss. Hope the wife of Paul makes it through right.
