When you're listening to the album, what do you typically do? I started off playing the whole CD front to back, but now I have a very specific experience, and after sharing mine I want to hear yours: Fire - Listen in full, usually imitate drumming because the drums are epic. Imagine I'm in a badass movie killing mafiosos and walking away from explosions. Crawl Back In - Skip to the epic 'CRAWL BACK IIIIIIIIN' at the end. Too Late - Listen in full. Inside of Me - Skip in full. Let Down - Listen to it twice. Sing along with gusto. Give Me Your Name - Listen to it twice. Possibly thrice depending on my mood. Sing along with gusto. My Suffering - Stop the track, pull up the youtube video of the early version with screaming vocals. Then think, "WTF CHESTER? WTF." Condemned - Skip in full. Into You - Listen in full. When the song starts off with 'Smoke another cigarette' I say, "Okay!" and proceed to do so. End of the World - Listen in full. Walking in Circles - Listen twice, In the Darkness - Listen twice, skipping the lame intro. Morning After - Listen in full. How about you?
My habits...hmmm skip through all but. Fire. Let Down.My Suffering, and Walking In Circles then put in FM jk
My current listening habits? Listen to (insert song name here) over and over again, run through various EQ presets/vocal removers to isolate various guitar parts, while working on guitar tabs for that song. Continue until tabs are finished and I'm most likely sick of the song, move on to the next song, and repeat the process. As with most LP-related releases, I get about a week of enjoyment out of it, then by the time I'm done working on the tabs, I'm so sick of it that I inevitably wind up taking a break and not listening to it at all for a few weeks/months (or in the case of Fort Minor, never listen to it all the way through again).
I walk along the golden gate bridge listening to the entire album and just wait for Give Me Your Name to come on. When that chorus hits and I'm on the bridge with the epic view of san fran, the bay and the ocean it's a pretty damn spectacular feeling. Sometimes I play it 5-6 times in a row, I love it.
at the breakdown of MS, air drumming the double bass blasts and screming "MY SUFFERAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGINNNNNNNGGGG!" & screaming CONDEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in condemned and headbanging all the way trys to sing the high part in let down, but fails miserably. Oh & beatboxing ITD is terribly addictive XD
I listen to mine like this... 1. In the darkness 2. Inside of Me 3. Fire 4. Crawl Back In 5. My suffering 6. Walking in Circles 7. Into you 8. Too late Skip the rest hahahha. I like them but i listen to those 8 everyday like that to and from school
1. Do not listen to any song off of OOA 2. Repeat. I LOVED it at first but then it got old for me, I usually just skip any song that comes up. Maybe it'll grow on me again though.
Unlike Linkin Park and Fort Minor, Dead by Sunrise has to grow on me. And now I don't even listen to Dead by Sunrise. Maybe one day I might listen to them again.
i always listen first to crawl back in and then to the others and at the end is alwys fire. i don´t know why! so and often when i hear to the music i read a book...that it normal (for me)
Well when i was playing a cd, I don't really put much focus on it, and mostly focus on the stuff I'm working at, so there's no particular listening habits for me.
