So seems like you'll have to have some sort of internet to play their newer games or you're shit out of luck. Even you if legitimately bought the game. BUT even if you legitimately bought the game and you are using a crack you are Still shit out of luck because there is a new online saving game system. meh it's just plain annoying but of course they're not going to change their minds just because we think its crap....fucking corporates.
meh, I don't honestly see anything wrong against it. Maybe I have been privileged with internet all my life wherever I went, or maybe I just didn't feel the need to play a game when I was away from one, but I don't think I would be affected by this. Where do I primarily play games? At home. Do I have internet at home? Of course. If I really really needed to play a game on a car ride on my lap top what would I do? Deal. I understand where they are coming from. The PC game piracy world is a LOT more extreme then it is for consoles. And there is almost no other way to stop it. The games are cracked almost the day they hit the shelves, and the only way a company could really prevent it would be to either make changes to your actual computer, which would never fly, or to require you to verify with them every time you play via the internet. Surely I think this will affect the sales of their games because some people will refuse to pay for a game they can't play on the go, but I think there is a good chance it could slightly increase the sales as well as people who love games and always pirate them are forced to pay. We will have to wait and see how exactly it works out for them, but I wouldn't be surprised if other game manufactures as well as software companies start getting into this concept. Honestly I can think of countless more times when my cd/dvd drive was broken, or I broke/lost the discs required to play a game versus the times I just really really really needed to play my new game on the go. I mean worst case scenario now, I have to read a book or socialize with people instead of playing the game. I don't think it is the end of the world, and I don't think it would result in anyone who was really really excited about their newest game to stop from buying it. I think the only time it is going to have an affect is to the person who is mildly interested in it.
Not everyone who plays games have internet. Don't you know? I don't have internet at my home so, if I were to buy a ubisoft game, it'd be useless and I'd be out of money. owell. Luckily for me, I don't really play much games. haha.
ROFLMAO! What a slap in the face for Ubisoft. Source: http://www.geek.com/articles/games/ubisofts-always-connected-games-drm-already-cracked-2010034/
are you serious? Be thankful for what you have because there are still people with no internet believe me.
I don't see why they're bothering... No matter what they do to stop piracy, there's always gonna be someone smart enough to figure out how to get around it. The whole idea of this just seems a bit pointless really.
