I had faith in the band and believed they wouldn't repeat the "delay game" they played with MTM. But w/e, I guess I can wait a little longer.

You're right. But I'm sure most of us were hoping this crap wouldnt happen
They were just saying how they want to release albums more frequently
and I sense this isn't the last time they push it back
As some ppl have said I can totally see a spring 2011 release

Guys, with all due respect...you're getting way too worked up over this. Think of what Linkin Park has given us over the past year and a half:

    New Divide
LPU9 CD full of brand new demos
    Not Alone
    New Song In 8-Bit Revolution

The band has fulfilled their promise of releasing music more often. In the past the band wouldn't even release things between albums (unless you count Reanimation). Now we're getting all these new tracks.

We've still got the 8-bit rebellion song to look forward to aswell. Trust me, it won't be a long wait.

Anybody here ever try making an album before? Like a REALLY GOOD ALBUM?

I have...like, three times. Unless you live in a box and all you do is eat, crap, and breathe music it'll take a while...but unless they scrap half the songs like they did with MtM, I'd still think the album will be out this year. I just hope they put out an album that they're all proud of...unlike Meteora

As long as it isn't a letdown, I don't care how long they take, just as long as I'm alive.

They're proud of "Meteora", they just admit it has its flaws. ;)

I don't think that we should be fretting this much. Give it time, it'll get here, and hopefully it'll be good.

It will be out this year, guys, or very very early next year. But ultimately it will be the record label who decides when it comes out and that could a whole half year after the record is finished! Be patient but I have a feeling it will be here sooner than people think.

All I know is that they're at least trying to redefine themselves and make a new sound that we don't expect, so if it takes 4-5 more months to perfect that...I'll be fine. I just want them to push their creative boundaries. I've heard things from Dave in The Snax, things from Mike in Fort Minor, things from Chester in DBS etc that I haven't heard in Linkin Park. That shouldn't be the case. Let's hope these guys really push themselves on the next CD.

    Patience is a virtue

At first I was thinking that this just plain sucks. I'm going to look at this in a positive light though. I just have this feeling that this is going to be something worth the wait. IMO, this is going to be something that will blow both Meteora and MTM out of the water. So if I have to wait till 2011, I will. Ive been a fan for the past 10 years and I figure whats going to change that. Im happy with what I have now and if its something thats going to take time to improve on, well im patiently waiting ^_^ Go LP!
