In a lengthy post on his official blog, Mike Shinoda has taken the time to go through what he has felt to be the 10 most important events in the band's history over the last 10 years and what (in his opinion) made the band who they are today. Quoting from the original post: "2 - MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT Fast forwarding to 2007: MTM was a special album for the band. Fans know that the songs and approach were different…but there was a deeper change that I remembered seeing, one that came from each personality in the band and multiplied by the guidance that Rick gave us. This was the exact moment where, creatively, the guys in the band came together more closely than ever before. There was more of a sense of camaraderie and collective creativity than ever before. Irrespective of the music, the band changed a lot in the 12-18 months we worked on that record. I think we grew up a lot, had a ton of fun making the album, and became much better friends." That was really cool. When it comes to music, Mike Shinoda is my idol. I can't wait for the new album. I've loved Hybrid Theory, Meteora, and Minutes To Midnight. I'm sure I'll love the new album as well. LP FOR LIFE!!!!!
I've known about the way they introduced themselves to the label but it'd previously been put into only a few words.
Epic blog entry. The more i think about it the more i agree that these 5 things helped make LP who they are today.
So according to this the early days without Phoenix were a bit rocky or uneven one might say hmmmmm. Well thankfully he came back. Who would have know where they would be if he hadnt
