I was listening to the demo of these songs, and prefred them to the album versions... This is why I wonder if some of the HT and HTEP songs were overworked... Am I normal?
Dunno, never heard the demos. But it should be pretty stupid to overwork a song. Especially for linkin park.
The demos were really cool ; more scratch, more guitar, and some different verses... But the final versions felt a bit plain. Yes, the sound was perfected, but was that what people wanted to see?
I think sometimes bands are forced to do things by higher people because they think that's the 'best way' for them to go. Sometimes that's why some bands sound better live, because it's more raw than what you hear on a recorded track .
except the white stripes. they are horrible live.
They're horrible...period. You can tell his voice is put through so many machines it's not even funny.
hmm.. maybe i should go and d/l the demos.. but yar.. i agree with what Keaton said.. most bands have to go through that..
They're horrible...period. You can tell his voice is put through so many machines it's not even funny.
i think thats why linkin park works. they create insane things in the studio, and are able to recreate them live. the white stripes do some so/so stuff in the studio and dont even attempt to pull it off in their live shows. i have friends that play better natural, undistorted guitar than jack white.
Not to go off subject, but it's a little weird how The White Stripes are a two-piece band, but it seems there are bass strings in the verses, and then guitar over those in the chorus. I don't know, I find the band to be a little... off the wall to begin with :chemist:. I like to play "Seven Nation Army" though, my dad likes to annoy me by playing the song over and over again once and awhile on the acoustic, but we usually play it together once every great while . Even though I suck . </off topic>
