I still say the Stooges deserve it more than anyone else on that list.

 

I can agree with that.

 

Well if the group/committee has any integrity, they will get in. Sadly, that's debatable.

 

personally I don't like a single kiss song. I don't like their attitude. I just don't like them.

But I still think they deserve the award. When I look at that list of nominees, I feel like the had the biggest overall impact on rock.



on the other hand, i love RHCP, I love their music, I love their style, etc.
but I dont really feel like its their time for an award. I think there are so many bands before them that had a bigger impact. Like someone else said, old bands deserve recognition first.... so that they get it before they die....



HOWEVER...

personally this year I think Obama should be put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

 

I've got my fingers crossed.

He's already going to win the Heisman trophy...

 

but why should he not win them all.... he hasn't played rock football.... but these awards are not given based on what a person has done... they are given based on what they may do in the future... duh
