holy fucking EPIC! http://www.cagerattle.com/breakingbenjamin/game/ Play the game "Altered Benjamin". It's Altered Beast for Sega Genesis but you play as Ben and have to defeat the undead and powerup to defeat the rest of the band at the end of the levels, lmao. holy shit, spent 30 minutes playing this and remembering Altered Beast. loved that game. Also, you can hear new songs "Fade Away" and "Crawl" as you play, so be warned if you're waiting for the record to hear them. they sound awesome though
Apparently the album leaked just yesterday, or something. First post on the forums in a while for the nub.
I don't understand what is wrong with me exactly. listened to this album earlier when i got home from work, was tired and had to play it pretty low. was impressed but nothing more. I am not re-listening to the CD louder and more awake and it is absolutely amazing. I love this CD, easily my favorite of the year. BB has done it again
Just heard the album. Initial reaction: Solid effort. It starts off great but I think it lost steam a little towards the end. Still a very solid album.
It's definitely a good album. Probably behind their debut and Phobia (slightly) for me. I don't know what it is, but it's kind of like a Sevendust album for me -- I like the style, but the songs kind of all sound the same to me. I also (nitpicky here) don't like how a lot of the songs lack much of an intro. I like the music, but something with the arrangement is just weird for me. There needed to be more changes of pace. Definitely like the style, though. Seems to mesh their debut with the sound of Phobia and WANA. Hopefully their next album will be their best.
You guys got me hyped up for a letdown. It really wasn't anything special, only a few songs I kept, the few that didn't sound like generic radio rock.
I was pretty impressed. I love anthem of the angles. But as someone said earlier, it kinda trails off at the end and I never really listen past AOTA. The opening track is nothing special. But the others are all quality.
It seems like I'm the odd one of the bunch, I love most of the songs. It takes a bit of listening to get used to them, 'cause initially all the songs sound very bloody similar. There's a notable lack of a good interesting intro compare to their previous albums but lyrically the songs are better (in a way). Depending on what you think, the album maybe heavier or softer than previous albums (namely guitar riffs being louder and more growls than Phobia, but not enough as Saturate or WANA and the pacing is slower). Most of the BB fans are satisfied but then again they just might be fanboys.
Another solid record by Breaking Benjamin. Though, not one song (besides I Will Not Bow) really sticks out to me yet. I'll need to listen to the entire record a few times through for that to happen. I can't really rank them, though. The last 3 records are all on the same level with me, but that's because Saturate is on it's own planet.
I actually really enjoyed this album. Standout tracks in my opinion are 'I Will Not Bow' and 'Lights Out'.
'Anthem of Angels' and 'Hopeless' stand out for me. Most of the others are at least solid though, even if not immediately memorable.
