Mike recently made a post over on the LPMB regarding the LPU 9 CD, hinting there might be some unreleased Linkin Park demos on it.

Have Linkin Park fans prayers been answered? We'll see!

I guarantee you it's She Couldn't, but perhaps mixed and mastered.

    Wouldn't be surprised.

Didn't stop em from putting something on there before.

(We had the pro-recording of Qwerty a full 2-3 months before it was featured on LPU6).

oh for the love of god, I just let out a fucking high pitched squeal and I felt 'myself' twitch. what kind of man AM I? this is great news. I might actually renew this year if it indeed contains never before heard demos or remastered/mixed ones :D

Maybe Mike wants to get more people on the LPU and he's convincing some Warner executive through this post that if they release old demos, they'd get a lot more people to join.

    Or maybe not.

Hopefully it's stuff we haven't heard or re-recordings. I would love to hear Stick N Move re-recorded.

I'd even die to have Stick N' Move remastered...but that wouldn't make sense as it doesn't feature Chester. My thoughts are this. It's one of the following:

    She Couldn't (mixed and mastered)
    Minutes To Midnight Demos
    Demos of new material

    OR *crosses fingers*

    Early pre debut album demos.

I'd bank on it being MTM or New Album demos though. I don't think many OLD demos exist anymore.

I would love to see them re-make Stick 'n Move with Chester, but it really wouldn't make much sense when the guitar was used on Runaway.

Well there's still Pictureboard, we have yet to hear that in any way shape or form. We know that they at least performed that with Chester. Honestly I wonder about unreleased demos from the Meteora era. As far as I know we don't know of any unless you count the alternate titles for the songs on the album. but that's just as far as I know.

She Couldn't would probably be the only demo that I would be slightly disappointed in if it were the only demo on the CD.

MTM demos or even Meteora would be awesome.

I'm not getting my hopes up. For all we know Mike was simply asking. He made no indication whatsoever that there will be unreleased demos on the next LPU CD. Even if there are, there's always a chance it's stuff we've already heard. That said, I do get the feeling this will be a good LPU package this year.

Didn't Ryu or someone say a few years ago that LP has loads of unreleased material and that he was one of literally a few people who have heard some of it? I could be wrong but I get the feeling there's a fuck load of old stuff still there and the band are just reluctant to release it for various reasons.

I do wonder about something though: the emergence of the EP that contained She Couldn't was nothing more than baffling. No one knew a single thing about that track or the EP until 10 years after it was released. Alot of people started speculating that it was actually Warner who had released it into the public to gauge the reaction of the fans to hearing unheard material.

An interesting theory would be if LP and Warner are weighing up the possiblity of releasing some unheard stuff and are seeing if there is much demand for it. I get the feeling that both the band and the label are weary of the reaction so they are seeing if it would be worth taking the risk - Almost market research if you like. It's just a theory.

It does sound like it could be true (to what Luke said at the end) since mike has is online most of his free time. He does try to please all those who stick by him and listens to our question and requests.

Didn't Shinoda say something about not being "legally" allowed to discuss She Couldn't?

Also Stick N Move was awful and I'd hate if that was on there. =/

Just as long as it's not ten tons of live recordings. Hearing them live is cool and all, but the live performances don't differ enough from the studio version to warrant a release in my opinion. Not when you have two live albums.

Although if it's a live recording of a rare track I'm cool with that. IE High Voltage/Wish.
