Bird flu's actually more deadly than swine flu, it just doesn't spread as easily. Now, if that spread as easily, then I'd be worried.
sorry, shouldn't have said 'new'. I was speaking of the influenza outbreak of 19something. I'd give the exact date but i'm posting via mobile.
1929 it broke out in spain if i remember correctly. spread around the globe and killed millions. that's why the public is worried everytime a "new" flu finds its way.
I think that there have been a fair few medical break throughs in the past 80/90 years that make peoples worries completely unfounded.
