If you have been watching MTV lately, you may have seen a commercial advertising the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film along with footage of Linkin Park's "New Divide" music video.

MTV is scheduled to air a special live performance of "New Divide" during Paris Hilton's "My New BFF" show, airing Tuesday, June 23rd at 10 PM EST. The performance was filmed at the recent L.A. premiere of the movie.

The very tail end of the commercial can be seen below. Quality is low because I recorded it from my TV, but it is still watchable.

Music on MTV? That's almost unheard of.

I suppose I'll watch that; I've been a bit curious about that show anyways, and I wanna know if Paris is still a brat. XD

It was awesome! It was completely free, so I guess I can't complain that they made us stand around for literally three hours before they came out... but then again I just did :) They played very well and put a lot of energy into it, but the crowd just wasn't going so crazy considering the awesome opportunity. This might have been because they were tired from standing still for three hours, the crowd was on the older side, or because a lot of the audience was positioned awkwardly in regards to the stage (I was looking at the stage from the direct left of it). I was bouncing and pogoing and yelling, but nobody else seemed to want to join haha

I'd post a video, but it wouldn't be the best quality. You'll see the New Divide performance on MTV tomorrow anyway. One of the coolest parts of the whole thing was the stage. The lights were amazing, and there were giant screens all around it playing Transformers trailers and then the concert itself. An ad for the movie was displayed with a big projector on a nearby building, and inside the actual premiere there were giant Transformers like Bumblebee (sp?).

This was their setlist (we were warned way beforehand it wouldn't be a full performance):
    What I've Done
    Faint (w/ extended outro)
    Numb
    In the End
Bleed It Out (sadly no left and right side crowd contest thing like on the DVD)
    New Divide

I'm not holding my breath. I'm thinking this will be one of those 30-second video clips that they use as a commercial bumper. I'd be extremely shocked if MTV aired an entire 4 and a half minute video.

Hi, i was wondering if somebody could record this and then post it up? I live in a Central time area, and i work until 10 tonight. Of course, I won't be home at the 9 o'clock time, and i have no way to record it. It would be GREATLY appreciated!

The performance was just shown. MTV aired the whole song. Shocking!

I feel like the sound was cleaned up a bit. Is it just me?

Not a bad performance, considering it was literally the first time ever (apart from practice) that the song was performed live. I'm impressed...Chester hit a lot of the notes.

That's one of their best performances since MTM came out IMO.

Chester was out of tune for a good portion of the song.

I can't tell what Mike's doing with the synth, seems like he's manipulating the knobs a lot throughout the song so whatever he's playing, he must be changing filtering effects on it.
