"New Divide" Clips Surface

I bet it's up on the official LP website, Youtube, Myspace, iTunes, and on the radio before 10 AM.

If your in the LPU like myself you just got an email saying the song will be streaming on linkinpark.com at 3:45 EST.

 

@Derek. It's been said in one of the interviews I read that was posted. I can't find it, but I know I read it saying that it would be released immediately after the airing on the Radio station. Who's to say it won't be released before that, but you asked why they wouldn't release it earlier.... well it's not that they don't WANT to release it A.S.A.P., it probably just falls on exclusivity for this radio station and/or an embargo until a certain date/time. I.E. every Tuesday for CDs, BUT we all know how that turns out I hope it does leak early, I don't think I can wait til tomorrow night.

 

Fuck.

I still expect it to be everywhere that I said, sans the LP site before 10.

Would be awesome if its available at 8AM est. Though the official website states 3.45pm >< . Anyways I'm not sure if i'm slow or what, but i just realised the melody from the intro all the way when the guitar comes in sounds quite similar as Skorponok theme for the first transformers movie. Was it intentional???? oO

oh shit you're totally right! i never noticed that, but that's probably how they're tying the two scores together. mike said they were basing the score around ND, but i think it's probably the other way around...

 

Yeah, I realized this when the Revenge of the Fallen trailer came out and both ND and "Scorponok" were in it. They sounded similar so I did a comparison by adjusting the pitch and tempo, and they turned out to be very very similar. I don't think it was completely deliberate but I'm sure they must've used the soundtrack for inspiration, if they were planning to use this in the movie from the start.

 

So it's premiering on KROQ at 8 AM?

Says so on their website, also says they will be in the KROQ studio.

 

So only two and a bit hours left til it's released? Sweeet.

Is the song being released on CD as a single? If so, I'm quite surprised myself it hasn't leaked. Must be some tight security.
