Vocals Breaking The Habit — I feel that Chester wanted to give the best possible performance that he could on this track simply because it was so important to Mike. Now, I'm not saying that Chester didn't give it his all on the other songs; but, to me, it just seems as though Chester really poured himself into this song. Rapping Papercut — The rapping in this song is intense, fast, and deadly. The first time I heard this song is when I purchased Hybrid Theory and it immediately became my favorite song (though that's changed). I'd heard all their other songs except this one, and it ultimately got me into the band. The flow of the song is tight, the lyrics are great, and Mike really gets into it. Guitar A Place For My Head — I love the guitar on this song. I can't get over the fact that Brad plays an acoustic guitar during the intro. It sounds so amazing and it really sets the mood for the song. I think the guitar is the best they've done and it's awesome throughout the entire song instead of just in certain places. Bass Papercut — The bass in this song is so intense and so awesome. It's the only song that I can pick the bass out clearly aside from "Crawling" and "Easier To Run." I think it's amazing what Phoenix does on this track. The fact that it stands out and also ties in with the rest of the music still is just amazing. Most bands (mainstream) whose bass stands out sound terrible in my opinion. Effects/Scratching Papercut/Don't Stay — For effects, I choose "Papercut." I love the keyboards that are played throughout the song. It's so awesome and it really sets the mood of the song. It's as if that sound is what plays over and over inside a paranoiac's head. For scratching, I choose "Don't Stay." I love the scratching at the very beginning and the fact that Joe did it on the first take just proves how amazing it is. I love how it flows with the guitar instead of just being there. Drums Figure.09 — I don't know much about drums but I love the drums on "Figure.09." They really get me moving and they just sound awesome. They're the first thing I listen for when I play the song. I love them. Lyrics Carousel — I love the lyrics of this song. It's one of the first songs I heard by LP and the lyrics really captivated me. They're dark and thoughtful and they take on a different road for Linkin Park. I love the metaphors used so that they don't actually come right out and say the word "drugs." Amazing, amazing song lyrically. Overall In The End — In my opinion, this is the band's best performance all-around. The lyrics are amazing, the singing is awesome and the rapping is just great. I love the keyboard in the song as it really sets the mood and the drums are awesome. The fact that this song has so many different meanings is why I like it. Video Papercut — C'mon... There's a little voice inside all our heads.
Um... sorry, but didn't Brad play all the bass parts in HT? Phoenix had quit the band by then.
First off, it doesn't matter who played them. Yes, Brad played them, but it doesn't change my opinion of them. Plus, who plays them live? Yep, Phoenix. Second, Phoenix never quit the band. The others let him leave for a bit to play with The Snax. By Mid-2001 he was back.

First off, it doesn't matter who played them. Yes, Brad played them, but it doesn't change my opinion of them. Plus, who plays them live? Yep, Phoenix.
Until the return of Phoenix, it was Scott Koziol who played them live. But, as you, said, that's not the point.
I agree with everything Avenger said, 'cept I've never heard Dedicated so I'll say that I think the best rapping is on Forgotten.
Until the return of Phoenix, it was Scott Koziol who played them live. But, as you, said, that's not the point.
For only, like, 2 months, lol.
