Just wondering: is anyone here affiliated with the straight-edge movement?

 

Hmm, I have no clue what that is, so I'm not part of it.

I thought you spelled the title of this thread wrong at first.

To be straight edge is to refrain from alcohol, smoking, drugs and promiscuous sex. I was on the AFI message board and there are a lot of straight edgers there so I thought I'd find out if there are any here as well. I don't claim the movement but I basically live a sXe life and I respect anyone who does.

 

can you live straight-edge if you'll probably never get laid anyway?

You should want to be one, not be "cursed" to be one.

ok, that's understandable.

 

I'm not straight edge but I do think it's a good thing to be.

 

I'm not a straight edge, but I respect anybody who has the strength to be one! You have to control your natural instincts to procreate, as well as peer pressure to use alcohol and drugs. But I will never smoke drugs or cigarettes. Sex and alcohol, well, I can't make any guarantees

 

I am, but I dont mind if my other friends arent. Let them do what they want, as long as they just dont do it around me im fine.

ive had drink before, but im not an excessive drinker
