Source Variety and Anime News Network Though Keanu may seem emotionless in a lot of movies his enthusiasm and dedication to this movie have me believing that he might actually be able to pull it off. Plus, we're almost guaranteed to get a good script as they can reject anything they don't like. Meaning it would have to be good. Also I read somewhere that it wouldn't be a origin movie.
Acting aside, I don't think Keanu/Neo has the prowess to portray Spike effectively. Unless he suddenly becomes a master of Jeet Kune Do, I really don't see him moving with the grace and fluidity that Spike shows in his fighting. Not to mention his voice doesn't fit Spike (Japanese or English Dub) at all.
I'm not even a big Cowboy Bebop fan and I know this has fail written all over it. Why Hollywood, why? :angry:
yeah same here, they should quit making English version with English speaking characters its just so....not in line with the anime, i mean if they are going to make a live action at least keep it all-Japanese, you will be able to relate better to the anime better that way
