hey guys, I was just thinking. How would things have been if Meteora was released b4 Hybrid theory ? As in something like " Faint " would have been Linkin Park's first single. I dunno, but I'd think that some of the recent comments about the album being too repetetive or havin same strong structures, or rather same style....well, I don't think that would have been the case. Hybrid Theory was a revolutionizing album, nodoubtabout it. But I just think Meteora din't really get enough credit that it deserved. I'm sure You guys know how You felt when you first listened to something like faint. It's still a song in my high school which I make my "anti-linkin and all-for-metallica fans" friends listen to , and they can't deny it's awesome sound. Anwyays, whad ya'll think ?
If Hybrid Theory was released second, it would be a commercial failure despite having way better lyrics, because it is not half as complex nor hard as Meteora..Linkin Park would be downgrading their sound rather then upgrading it to something different. People just like to pick on Linkin Park because its a trend, don't worry about it.
HT was out in a best timing, cuz people waited for this kind of refreshingly new nusic... but during the time (till meteora came out), the media's enthusiasm around LP has been reduced (4 xmple- in 2001 In the End was on every 5 seconds, and now, on the other hand, I haven't seen Faint and Numb more then 15 times, all together... The media see LP as a passing trend, but for me LP will always be the greatest bend ever!!! :chaz:

A WHAT? MTV2 sez it's heavy, but all i could see while in Canada was some dump pop songs, with some "Bring me to life" between them. MTV2 plays what's mainstream, not what's heavy.
