How would you feel if Linkin Park did a ballad song and placed it on their next album? By ballad, I mean a song like Bon Jovi's "I'll Be There For You" or Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." Do you think LP would still be as popular or sell as many albums?

The reason I ask is because when I was listening to "I'll Be There For You" I pictured LP on a stage performing it.

I don't think it would be bad. I mean, my guys know what we want, and if they do a ballad, it would be so cool.

Ballad LP style? You're talking 'bout a...

Great idea :D . It's one of their chances to look innovative again, even if they're still to me. But my biggest question is what kind of lyrics are they gonna write for this if they ever do such a song

Sweet Child O' Mine at Rock Am Ring 01 was cool. even though it lasted for about 30 seconds. just enough for me.

Then let them be criticized. When has LP ever cared what critics say about them?

Exactly. I would love to see a ballad type of song out of LP. Maybe a bit lighter than in the end because as Fred Durst said it was a heavy ballad. :D

"In The End" isn't a ballad.

Go download Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" or "Something To Believe In" and Bon Jovi's "I'll Be There For You" or "Always" and you'll see what a real ballad is.

Hmm, I think a ballad would be cool. I grew up listening to the whole spectrum of 60's, 70's, and 80's music, from Creedence Clearwater Revival, to REO Speedwagon, to Men at Work, I've heard alot of music, and those classic rock ballads still get stuck in my head. I would love to hear a LP ballad

Bon Jovi is one of the most influential and biggest rock bands to ever exist. Having a song sound like theirs is probably a big tribute and I'm damn sure LP would be honored to do it.

I never knew Linkin Park had a 7th member.

Ballads = Great. Would Trust Company's "Hover (Piano Version)". Be considered one?
