I just wished they'd stop bashing LP really. They have no right to talk about them that way.*shrugs* But that's just my opinion really. ;)

yes they do, they're critics. its their job. just like its the job of the hardcore (enter band name here) fans to disagree completely. :)

i totally agree with you Keaton. a long time ago i didnt have access to internet and didn't know much about lp. i always wondered if they were going to make another album. my friend said that they weren't. then i got internet and found out about reanimation. i was totally bummed out when they said it was going to be a "remix" cd. finally meteora came. don't get me wrong, it sounded awesum at first but then i got tired of it sooo fast. my fav. songs are easier to run and hit the floor. they sound dark and stuff. i agree with sum of the stuff in that article. its just that i think the person went after lp too much.

OK, now i see where you are coming from and i kinda know why i am confused. I wasnt really in it when LP first came out mainly because of the sterotypes that come with listening to rock music ( i am an african american so you get the idea ). I know what you mean by the lyrical let down on meteora and them sticking to the same song structure, BUT Meteora, in my opinion is one of the best albums I've heard in a while. Linkin Park writes about things that occur in real life, and i respect them so much for that. Its just that i cant stand for people to diss something i thought was so perfect.. so yea i guess ill leave this alone

I understand where you're coming from and I do agree LP does write about things some of us go through. I was just disappointed in the overall 'ground' they covered with Meteora, like I said, played it safe.

Hell, I'd be upset if someone dissed Linkin Park (which happens everyday for me, actually ), and I know where you're coming from so it's all good :).

I don't care about LP writing about things that happen in life, but when they write the same song 8-9 different ways, it gets pretty annoying.

But yea, I guess the guy should have a 'little' credit. But I dunno the whole thing just makes me angry. Well probably it's cuz we all here 'like' the band and want to stick up for them. But you all on this board made pretty good points ^_^ Good job pplz lol.

I read similar article before few months. Then I was angry that someone could say this about LP and Meteora.
But now, after some time, although It's hard for me to say it, I have to agree with some points said there. Yea, besides few (Nobody's Listening, Breaking The Habit...) has songs similar concept, lyrics and It's none big move from HT..

I LOVE Meteora very much, It's great album. But record second album as good as first, is very hard thing and HT is still reason of LP's success.
