I've been keeping a close eye on the developments concerning Street Fighter 4. I am so fuckin' ecstatic. Street Fighter makes it's long-awaited grand return to the mainstream on home video-gaming consoles Feb.17 in North America. Alongside it's video game release, a feature-length Street Fighter animated movie will make it's debut as well(unfortunately there is no standalone DVD/Blu-Ray release).

    Thoughts?

'Mixed Bag'/'TGS 2008' trailer. Montage using footage from the gameplay, animated film, and the 2d/3d teaser trailers:

The movie looks like garbage, and I don't like what I've seen from the game either, so idk.

Garbage? You mean the animated film? : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyAoLp2amsY&feature=related

By anime storytelling standards, I think it's shaping up to be quite exciting.

I wasn't too fond of the appeal SF 4 is presenting; it takes some getting used to. However, according to early reviews, the gameplay is very similar to that of it's previous installments 2, and 3. In fact, the developers used SF 2: Turbo as their base reference.

I quite like the look and feel SF 4 is presented with at this stage. It's an interesting take on realism mixed with 2d animation. In ways, it's utterly a breath of fresh air in comparison to recent fighting games, not to mention the soundtrack sounds amazing. Then again, this is just my personal opinion on the game.
