You just don't know how I feel I keep telling myself that this can't be happening for real You're always home for the evening meal It's time for me to say something to you [chorus] I just don't know that in the corner of my heart Where you pulled us apart Your ignorance will be treason You're just not that pleasing It's the wrong season For me to act the way the way I do But I do know that your ignorance is treason I don't know who told you that it was okay To act the way that you did towards me today You said "hello" slipped off your shoes and fell asleep But it's my turn to take this emotional leap Your mama told me before That I oughta have thrown you out the door Before you got the chance to break my heart My heart's already in a million pieces away, it's apart [chorus] Your ignorance is treason And it is the reason Why I cry these tears It's not because of my fears So just walk away Don't come back another day It was nice to waste the time we had Go have a child with another woman, and be a dad My heart's already been torn It's been shredded and now has been worn Your ignorance is treason Your ignorance is treason Your ignorance is treason Your ignorance is treason Ignorance is treaon! My heart's already in a million pieces away, it's apart I personally thought that this line was a little cheap. And some rhymes seemed too forced. Other than that, I like the overall idea of the poem / lyric. And I did rather enjoy reading it. Maybe just a little polishing here and there, and it'd be a great piece, in my opinion.
