I have to say I don't even know what the NIN version sounds like

    LP's version is great though.

The Dillinger Escape Plan. I like the LP and NIN ones about the same.

There's no way that Chester could've cover Trent's voice brilliantly. Trent's a rare voice to cover good. If you wanna do his songs, you must have the right style to do it in and it is something that Chester somewhat lacks. And plus, I grew up with NIN's Wish as well, so it has a sentimental value to me.

The cover was awesome, one of the best I've ever heard. I liked the drop tuning in the LP version as opposed to NIN's standard tuned one.
But I can't discount the original, Trent is phenomenal. I love them both.

They're both good.Chester's voice really does the song justice, in my opinion. :) But no-one performs "Wish" as well as Nine Inch Nails.

LP's performace of Wish, imo, is better than any of NIN's performances of the song.
But the album version of Wish is better, just because it IS nine inch nails, and you can't do what Trent can do on a cd I think.

Not really. Maybe it's because I don't care for Nine Inch Nails, but I felt LP's version of the song out-did NIN's version, studio or live. I'm not trying to be biased towards LP, just I don't like NIN's sound with the handful of songs I've heard.

    Oh well.

Again, though, yeah, LP's cover is great. :)

I love the original, but LP's version kicked ass and sounds a little better :D

Actually I said 'imo' to suggest that it was In My Opinion - not that I was right or wrong.

    Anyway.

I felt LP's performance was outstanding, even better played than some of their own songs. If you compare the ones LP played live and NIN's album version of wish; they are pretty much like two different songs to me.

I think Linkin Park's cover's great, i'd love to see it back in the set.

But comparing it to NIN's version is going a bit far.

I much prefer LP's version. I'm not a big fan of the original if I'm honest. I love LP's cover simply because it's a real show of their heavier side.

I think the guys did a pretty good job covering this song, i was quite impressed when i first heard it .. But i've got to say that it's not as good as the original .. I like them both equally, though ..

I liked LP's version way better than the original. But then again, I heard that one first, so that might have had an impact.

If you've seen some of the comments on the YouTube video for the cover...well, lets just say they'll make you really angry.

If there's anyone I hate, it's LP bashers.

I'm kind of torn between the two... But LP I think owns on this one. Brad plays the guitar part better, and Chester sings it better than Trent. Plus you can't beat Joe on the turntables!
