You've got to take a lot of communications classes, which almost all involve speaking in front of your classmates, no matter if it's a small, intimate 20-person class or a large 150-person lecture hall. And obviously, you've got to do a lot of writing, and perhaps volunteer for your school's paper, or take on apprenticeship writing for your local newspaper. There's also the matter of reading a lot of books if you take classes that require it. As far as math goes, that depends on what your school requires you to take.

    Hopefully I helped. :)

I suppose that depends on what you find easier. Majoring in journalism is going to require you to do a lot more (and be very proficient at) writing, whereas communications is typically more broad, covering different facets of media. Every college is different, so it would be best to check with the school you intend on going to to see what the required courses will be; then you can make a better decision on which one suits you.

In Communications you basically learn about how different media industries work, such as radio and films and so on. It's probably easier than Journalism in that you don't really need to be as proficient at one thing but you'll get a forest of paperwork, almost literally.
