What are your thoughts on it?
(and why - from social, political, economic, psychological, religious, ..., perspectives?)
What are the pros+cons and issues with it?

Does anyone know where it's legal? And under what circumstances?

Well you have those suicide clinics in Switzerland and places like that so I'm guessing it's legal there.

If someone's really seriously ill and they (if they're capable of it themselves) and their family think it through and all that, I don't see much of an issue at the end of the day.

As far as I know euthanasia is legal in Belgium, Luxemburg and in a U.S. state.

I agree with it, if the person who wants to do it is ill and can't stand the physical and emotional pain.

Yup, I believe Oregon is the only state where it's legal. It should be legal in all 50....

If I were in a veggie state, being forced to live with machines assiting me and practicly forcing me to live, i'd pick euthanasia.

I'm sorry but no, I can't keep the person in the veggie state in a state of pain and suffering while the caretakers must pay tons of money each day to support life. The two don't mix.

I, for one, refuse to live like a vegetable, completely unable to help myself. So I hope by the time that comes (if it does) Euthanasia is either legal or someone finds some other way to kill me. That is my biggest fear is just living and not being able to do anything at all for myself.

I want to choose when I'm gonna die but I can't decide on the death of another person...[and I don't want others to decide on my death either!]

Euthanasia is a panacea? Yes. I think it should be made legal everywhere. It's a person's own wish whether they wanna live or not. Like in extreme cases, when the body is too diseased and only thing that the person has is misery, then euthanasia should be made a valid option for them, only by will, if they don't wanna go through all the misery for the rest of their lives. This is more or less torture. I've seen many people who just don't wanna live anymore....but they can't die peacefully either, because euthanasia isn't a legal option here.

I mean like, don't you put pets to "sleep" when you think that they've been through too much? It should exactly be the same for humans as well.

It's better to die peacefully in bed rather than dying in pain and misery.
