DOes anyone know how many of linkins live performances have actually been recorded? (like a list?) Ive scoured the net and have gotten pretty much everthing the fans have captured and digitized but I know there is HEAPS more. I know MTV or whoever is licenced to record the bands that play live (Hell, there are cameramen at every festival so the footage does exist) have an archive they are monopolizing and sitting on feeding in little scraps to high paying cable suscribers... But there must be some way to get at it? I saw that linkinparkunderground say they have video footage, is there any decent amount available for download on that site? If so Ill definitely suscribe. Im in Australia and every cable company here runs channel V (which is full of content of australian live recordings basically...) so I dont have access to MTV but those of you in AMerica does MTV have much live footage they play? Anyways when linkin come to livid (look for me in the front row ;-) Ill definitely cap any footage of them channel V releases and try and distribute it online, but #### man, i wish there ws more of this stuff.... I cant get enough yaknow?
MTV doesn't play anything related to music at all anymore The only MTV channel to play music is MTV2, but on a typical day, you have 23 hours of rap (bling-bling f**k the hoes and smoke da joint rap, not LP/(hed) pe/limp bizkit rap) then about 1 hour of rock music, typically in the wee hours of the morning like at 4 AM
thats an exagerration. and arent you canadian? [/b][/quote] No I'm American Not really an exaggeraton, when was the last time you saw MTV or MTV2 play a lot of rock music?
MTV is about making money with the people that follow stupid (IMO)trends... And yes they are really focused on rap and hip-hop. The main concept of these videos is showing as much flesh as possible. Yes, it's cool sometimes, but in the end it starts to get on your nerves. As for the lives, sorry, I can't really tell you, but there must be lots...
It's in their interest of how much capital they can produce. If they can move more money with rnb / hip orientated artists, then that's what theyll do, and theyll milk it for all it's worth. That aside, could we keep it on topic here folks? What you guys are saying is in the context of my post ie industries monopolizing media which is classified as "their" interlectual property even though they didnt do a thing to produce it (they just provided the advance on it) and sitting on it and release it in little scraps to the consumers at a time where they will get the most $$$ out of it. If you think about it id say a good 60-70% (possibly more) of LP performances are captured on digital media at one level or another (usually professionally recorded). I'm thinking of taking on the arderous task of reseaching which of their live acts have been recorded. Then even more painstakingly staking out music video cable channels and capping them all. Distro : My college dorm network > LANS > MV websites > The world
As far as I know, every performance is recorded, both audio and video. But only the band probably has access to them, so good luck
This topic has turned into a MTV bashing . Back on topic people . Then, wich songs haven't they played live?
I would kill for a copy of part of me live.... have they played session, cure for the itch and tecnique live ?
