That is one huge thing that bothered me too. Didnt the UN tell us NOT to go to war? Obviously we listen very well.

The UN has turned into an utter failure. The decision to "occupy" Iraq for 11 years while letting Saddam make money from the "oil for food" program is more than enough proof to my point. It is a now an impotent organization that no one cares about or listens to if not solely because of the Iraq debacle (pre-US led war) then for its inability for the member countries to take any real stance on issues that effect the world. NK with nukes? Iran trying to get them? This is why the US, UK, etc. act first because the UN does not know what to do anymore.

When I was younger and learned about the UN I thought of it as a great world organization. I thought what a great idea to have all these countries talk openly about issues and.........how wrong do I feel today.

I think I understand where you are going. Its that we should back off from meddling in other country's business militarily and tend to our own problems. This is something I would be in favor of for the short term once we become self-sustaining. At the moment, its not viable because we need oil too much. Its apparent from reading posts from people in other countries that our troops are not welcome overseas and that's fine. Hopefully one day we can show again how good we are for the world.

I don't know, it seems to me that it's failing only because certain countries want to take law unto their own hands.
And how can you complain about NK and Iran getting nukes when you were first to distribute them to all your allies. Why don't you never complain about Israel having nukes? And it's kinda America's fault that NK officially renewed their nuclear program this month. You can't ask them to do something and give them nothing in return.
And to be honest, if the US were the only country in the world with nukes I'd be way more afraid than I am now.

Hopefully that will happen one day, when the attitude of your government changes and when you actually start caring about the countries you have military actions in instead of just caring for your own interests.

Yeah. I'm not saying it would be the best course of action but, if America is really all about trying to liberate countries by those means, where are the troops in Sudan for instance?

When I first heard about Biden being Obama's VP it was on a Slovenian news channel where they were reading in English, and it actually sounded like the anchor said Joe Budden. Haha.

Imo, we should get out of the UN, and stay out of the world. We should stop policing the world and take our troops home. Why do we tell other's that we're doing great and we're the best while our internal problems still exist? Isn't that hypocritical? it's like saying.... "Oh, you should watch out and stay healthy!" to someone while drunk and having the flu. Once we solve all of the U.S Problems, such as Poverty, The Economy, Education system ( Imo, why are we cutting budgets for Education? If you have a strong foundation for education for children, you raise a generation of literate adults and it only gets better. ), All of the problems we have, we fix. Then we can say "Let us support other countries to be self-sufficient in the world, without needing an occupation or an influential power there"

It's probably not my place to say, but I don't think that's a bad point. If I was American I would probably think the same, maybe not to the effect of leaving the UN and staying out of absolutely everything but yeah.

How the hell is this woman prepared to even be Vice President? This is ludicrous and an insult to the American People to put someone so blatantly unprepared one heartbeat away from the presidency.

People comment on Obama's 'stutters' and claim he cant speak without a teleprompter (and no Arlene that wasn't aimed at you), and yet her whole entire interview was like this clip.

    Here's another bad clip:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vbg6hF0nShQ

And people think she could lead this country? Don't get me wrong. I want a woman as president someday, but no way in hell do I want HER in office.

I thought the woman from The Ex List (in the ad I had to watch before the interview) was Palin, and I was confused for a moment.

Nah, I could never love a woman who doesn't believe in dinosaurs.

I'm probably overdoing the whole "OMG SHE'S A CREATIONIST" thing, hah.

Amazing how a NEW U.S. Citizen understands our country better then John McCain.

"You can't suspend the democratic process because we're facing problems. At what point do you think, maybe we should suspend the election? We'll have the elections later. Some people have done that before: Castro did it, Napoleon did it, Julius Caesar did it. You can't do that. If you like it or not, the campaign is part of the democratic process....You wanna take your time off, that's fine, but you don't say we're suspending the campaign. You can't say that. It's the democratic process. We didn't suspend it for 9/11, we didn't suspend it for Pearl Harbor, we didn't suspend it for the Nazis, we didn't suspend it for the damn British. We don't do that in America!"

Stuttering words and giving a moment to think when speaking happens when you come across unsure questions. I think that she's stuttering because she can't formulate a way to say things in a certain way because she might let loose something? like a bad secret?

I'm also now for Chuck Baldwin now.

I have neighbors and to be honest I don't really know anything about them. They hardly come out. They could be aliens. Now let's say I have foreign policy experience because I have neighbors who I have never talked to, or hardly even notice are there...

    This is just ridiculous

These candidates give us no choice. They are both wrong for America! Our vote will be against the other one, not a vote for a candidate. Obama wants to tax and spend and McCain wants to borrow money, raise our national debt and put it on our future generations to pay it back. Obama is the most liberal politician in the senate and has no experience on Foreign Policy. McCain,s Foreign Policy is from The Vietnam War. He is too old and believes we can win the war in Iraq. God help us. The media wanted Obama to run and the peoples' choice was negated. There are no easy decisions. As a nation running scared we are going to allow drilling in Alaska. God Forbid!. We have to sacrifice now in spending, tighten our belts, hunker down, get serious. Our legacy to our future generations look mighty grim, if we don't change our entitlement thinking. One of the most important responsibilities our next president will face is picking supreme court judges. The direction of our country depends on it.. I trust McCain with that decision and for that reason, I will vote for him.saw their TV ads in http://pollclash.com
