Linkin Park To Enter Studio In November

Afterwards comes another 4 - 5 year hiatus with side-projecs aplenty, then another album or two and another hiatus, and one or two more albums before they call it quits. By that time we'll all be 40, busy with wife/husband and children, and the LPA will be but a distant memory. We won't be hip anymore, and Hybrid Theory will sound funny to the young hipsters.

 

Their next mash-up should be with Kool G Rap. Then the people who complained about Jay-Z's use of the word "bitch" would REALLY have something to complain about.

 

If they wanted to mess with everyone, then returning to the Meteora sound wouldnt do anything. They should do what Muse did during the BHaR sessions and start recording some jazz songs.

Anyway, awesome news. Im interested to see where they go with this album.

 

speaking of muse, i think they're gonna sorta go in that direction. thats just my take tho. muse with rap hopefully....and scratching

Awesome! After seeing the creativity on MTM, I'm absolutely sure they can pull of something amazing for the next record as well.

I don't mind if they take a while, perfect it. As long as we get DBS in between.

 

I've got a feeling they won't be in the studio too long.

I think they'll record some demos and then take a break, allowing Chester to release his record and tour in support of it for about a month.

Then they'll go back in the studio around February and stay there until June.

The record will be out next November.

I'm pretty sure Meteora and HT days are over....as they seemed pretty strong on that subject before MTM came out. They had "exhausted that sound" as Mike put it.

 

Yeah that was pretty damn funny for some reason.

 

I really hope they don't go back to their Hybrid Theory/Meteora sound and just build on their current sound. They should make more heavy songs though, more aggressive sounds without going back to the rap/rock, although they should still have a song or two, or some parts where Mike can rap.

Although right now I'm listening to their EP, and am currently on And One and really wouldn't mind a song just like this.

 

I wouldn't mind a few songs like QWERTY and No Roads Left...

yeah well, at least we'll get one day to listen to it ..!

 

Hopefully this will be the case. They might have recordings left over from MTM that they might find suitable, which would probably give them a bit of a head start.

 

Maybe they'll just call it Midnight, with a photo of them standing around the hadron collider acting as if it were a holiday picture. Or just nothing, to signify a black hole.
