I have a friend who's into a few bands that I just can not stand. Like H.I.M., Brand New, Thursday, Fall Out Boy. Urhg, I'm on his ass about it all the time. And it's not like I didn't give any of those bands a try. Everytime he's played me something it was like, Dude, turn it off. Just really hard to get into. All comes down to personal taste, I guess. Also, hip-hop in general. I used to be so against anything related to rap or hip-hop, then along came LP. I stuck with that for a while and tolerated it, eventually liking it. Then when Fort Minor came out I appreciated it a little more. Now I'm not afraid to listen to some hip-hop, even though I'm still a bit touchy with it. I've only ventured off to Lupe Fiasco and D12, FM and LP, of course. I still won't touch things like 50 Cent, Nas, or anything like that, though.
Cannibal Ox's album seems kind of like that. I mean I liked it but I'd probably have to listen to it a few more times to like it completely.
Tool-Some of their songs are really weird but others are quite catchy. MJK seems like a jerk to me sometimes too. APC NIN-Catchy beats but some ambient songs are kind of boring. KMFDM Rammstein A7X-I couldn't get used to the changing moods in each song. Eventually got into it. Slipknot-Took a while to get used to the heavy music in general.
MCR - I tried it once and I didn't like the vox much. I think I've started to warm up to it since but, yeah.
There are plenty of bands for me. MCR, bands like The Devil Wears Prada where it's nothing but screaming. I'm picky when it comes to music..
