I hate when you read about a band's newest album (which is usually complete shit) and they claim they wanted to "experiment" on the album and with the album's sound because they've "always been about experimentation" when their first three or four albums all sound the same and are all metalcore and their fifth album inexplicably sounds like a contemporary jazz record. It just makes no sense for a band to claim they've always been about experimenting with their sound when they've never done it before, like Fall Out Boy or Avenged Sevenfold.

Yes. Their first couple albums all sounded pretty similar and then they suddenly wrote albums that were completely different from what they'd done before and they claimed they'd "always been about experimenting with their sound" when that's not true at all. And I hate when bands do that, make ridiculous claims that aren't true and can be proven false just by listening to their discography.

Sometimes it's a very subtle experimentation, and they're just being idiots and saying that they've been doing this big experimentation movement in their music.

Me, I do actually experiment a lot with my music. So I can make those claims without catching hell.
