but its a nice try and hope we see new sick video from LP co the best video i've seen till now is " From the inside " and " Breakin the habit " .

 

I like it. I don't understand it, but it's epic and cool and such.

They're on a mission that they aren't coming back from. That's the feeling I get.

 

The best video from mtm so far. Although, they did rip off Sunshine lol

 

I'm guessing that's a star dying at the end? In which case it would fit with the song.

Also:

compared with

the parallel between the two shots meaning they've reached midnight. The star dying has doomed the planets in its system which can be a symbol for any number of things, ie loss of hope, loss of light, the end of the world... and more obviously it means the end of the M2M cycle.

 

How about this one... dying sun, the guys are part of a crew to, err, restart the sun, but they're going to die in the process.

I get the feeling everyone except Chester chickened out, and while they were sleeping, he continued to fly the ship towards the sun?
That was what they argued about, whether or not to continue the trip, and all the button pressing Chester is doing is him programming the ship to continue towards the sun.

It makes sense in my head. Except the restarting the sun part.

 

Wow, this is really weird, I actually only watched Sunshine last night. Awesome movie.


Clearly influenced this. Great video, but I also don't really get how it relates to the song.

 

This is how I see it.

Leaving out all the rest. they're LEAVING things behind, in space.
And then when they're almost to the sun they just stand there like we're here, there's no taking things back, what's done is done, let's just move on with it and embrace what we did. but with some miracle the sun like.. vansihed or something. lol

 

Thats gotta be it.

Sunshine is a very underrated movie. The special effects are insane and with the plot twists it keeps you interested. Very good movie.

 

Not as bad as I'd expected but I'm not sure how the video is supposed to relate to the song..at all

 

Really nice movie, for one of their absolute best songs.

Btw anyone have a high res version of that "band looking at star" picture, suitable for wallpaper?

I like the way you imagine their point of view about the video clip but ... (I didn't see the video yet) from the lyrics i can tell that the song should be about someone leaving his life and tell his lovers to live their life without any looking back. I dunno, i'm pretty much sure (from your discussion) that Hann (as always) didn't put the picture in right frame in lp's videos

 

well what happens in that Sunshine movie?

 

It's set in the future.. the sun is dying and they send a team to refuel it.

Wow, what a video. This was truly epic and well worth the wait. This is most certainly the best video out of all the other M2M singles/releases. And another positive was the acting from everyone within the band. They should all be proud of how excellent this video turned out. And the special effects in this video made this even better.

And as for how the lyrics/song relate to the video. After reading some explanations and interpretations from numerous posters, I have somewhat understood the relation between the song and the video. It makes sense to me.

I am very pleased with the outcome. This should hopefully and rightfully, turn into a big hit for Linkin Park.
