Okay, I don't really know how to start this, it just seems weird, but... It's been reported that Dr. Pepper has thrown it's weight behind Axl Rose in the strangest business partnership ever... From New York Post Story here I have no idea how this will work, and frankly, I'm laughing too much to think properly It'll be impossible to do, but for both Dr. Pepper and Axl Rose, this is a big thing. Dr. Pepper get lots more business through the name of Guns 'N Roses, and Axl gets a tour sponsor and general free publicity. Thoughts?
I read about this like an hour ago and laughed to myself. It's just an empty promotion basically. Everyone knows Chinese Democracy isn't coming out in 2008. Hell, it's not going to come out by 2010.
It took a lot of patience to get the 23 ingredients into Dr. Pepper. I want the album to come out, just for the free soda. Then I'd mail mine to Slash.
I'm surprised at what little interest this story has been given on this forum. But saying that, waiting for Chinese Democracy has been a joke
I bet this album wont be out before 2010 lol. It's not even gonna be worth the wait I don't think. No Slash+No Duff+No Matt+No Buckethead+Axl Rose=Fail Although imagine a band where both Slash and Buckethead are the guitarists...
Less than what he deserves. Of course no one except the people within the band really know what happened but Axl has always portrayed himself as the victim when he's just been an utter prick throughout. Who the fuck says ''give me the rights to the band name or I'm leaving''... What do people make of that story back in 05 when Slash supposedly turned up at Axl's house at 5am one morning and practicly said he hated everyone in Velvet Revolver? He's even admitted in interviews that he saw Axl that morning but has gone on to say otherwise...what do people think of that?
If Axl Rose releases Chinese Democracy in 2008, hell, I'LL send a can of Dr. Pepper to every person in America.
I still have a feeling IF Chinese Democracy ever comes out, some of Buckethead's guitar tracks might still be on it, he was on several of the leaked demos, and they leaked long after he had already left. But knowing Axl, he won't credit Buckethead for his work.
