Aside from making what I believe to be the best music currently in existence, this is the most awesome thing LP have done.

i got this from the lp text message service thing, it said:

I've been to the Netherlands today and saw a MTM edition with No Roads Left, What I've Done (distorted remix) and What I've Done (third encore session). Not news I suppose?

 

That's the Tour Edition, which has been out in Europe for a couple months.

*Edit* Although I believe it's supposed to be Given Up that's the Third Encore track, not WID.

 

Chester's been diagnosed with tracheobronchitis, not too serious fortunately but the band have had to cancel two shows so Chester can rest.

im just glad i got to see him in NH before he got sick
an interesting question to ask would be if someone that didnt sing in linkin park like phoenix got too sick to play do you think theyd still cancel?

 

ooh, interesting question indeed. I wouldn't argue that if a frontman gets sick then the show is far more likely to get cancelled. I suppose it would depend on whether there is another capable musician who knows all the parts and knows how to work the gear. As well as that, I would hope that the band would consider professionalism and being fair to everyone. Cancelling a show for Chester but not for Phoenix I would think would be quite insulting to Phoenix. I would understand that the last thing the band ever wants to do is cancel a show, but to suggest one band member is less important than another (though we all know bass isn't important) doesn't seem professional.
I don't recall hearing of an occasion where a non-frontman has gotten sick however. Hahninator might now after having done the live guide.

 

With instrumental parts, some of the roadies are supposed to know how to play the songs in case someone is sick or injured (typically the guitar tech will know the guitar parts, etc.), which is common practice in a lot of bands. Chester and Mike's guitar tech (Kurt Schneck) actually played Chester's guitar part on Shadow of the Day at two Australian shows after Chester broke his wrist, before he got the special cast put on that allowed him to play.
