another one bites the dust

well, kinda.

i'm not leaving permanently, because i'll admit i have no life, and i probably will be back. i feel like i owe you all an explanation, since i've been on this board for close to, if not, 5 years. you're all like my second family.

i'm not leaving because i hate friskey, or because derek is a horrible administrator. infact, friskey is a cool guy, enough to be a friend on facebook, and derek helped me through alot of my personal problems a year or two ago. if you know about my personal problems, then you're probably one of my best online friends.

no, you see, the reason i'm taking an extended leave of absence is... i feel i've reached all i can as a serious contributing member to the LPA. i know, i know. what a cop-out, right? but when i first joined, this board was strictly a board for linkin park fans, with no serious chat or other music subforums. if you know me, then you'll know those two forums are my bread and butter. i remember fighting vehemently for the curse filter to be switched off. i created two of the most popular topics in serious chat and other music has seen (anti-bible and the nin thread, respectively).

apparently, i'm one of the most popular members on these boards, if you believe the LPA Awards. i'm also one of the most controversial, right next to probably Todd and the recently banned Franny/Chris Luke, which is something I don't agree on, but i won't divulge into that subject. Basically, all my friends on this board are leaving or have already left, or don't post here anymore. Lyndie, Darcy, Paul, Franny, Will, Mali. I don't like that fact, and I can't change it, but I can help myself in making new friends on a new board, which is what I'm doing as we speak.

I don't know where I'm going with any of this, except that i'm leaving. i'll be back eventually, but for the foreseeable future, i'm not here. while i'm not going to advertise and suggest everyone leave the LPA, because I don't think you should unless you want to, but I do have a message board as of today with 4 members from here that have left. like but, like I said, i won't advertise.

pull the trigger.

 

Maybe it is good to take a breather and go away for a while, to see how it goes...
